Elimination Chamber Plans (Contains Some Smackdown Spoilers)

Multiple Wrestling sites report the following regarding plans for the Elimination Chamber match & Christian.

We noted earlier this week that Christian and Antonio Cesaro earned the final two spots in the WWE World Heavyweight Title Elimination Chamber match next month.



Right now the plan is for Christian to be in the match but his spot was given to him with the idea that if they come up with someone better, Christian will be taken out with an attack and "injury." Right now no Superstar is booked to take Christian out but there is an angle in place if WWE changes plans.



Regarding Brock Lesnar in the Elimination Chamber match, it was believed he would be there after the hype on RAW and the fact that it's his hometown but as of Monday, Lesnar is not scheduled to work the pay-per-view. Lesnar has reportedly fulfilled all dates on this year's contract that expires at WrestleMania XXX. As noted, Lesnar has already re-signed through WrestleMania 31.

Thoughts on Cesaro being in the Chamber?
Thoughts on Christian being in there?

Who would you prefer to have over Christian (or any of the other members.)?

I would prefer if Christian stay in the match unless he is replaced by Ziggler. As for Brock if the plan is to have him face Undertaker at WM and not wrestle for the WWE title between, then what was the point of making him a contender for the belt and bringing him back?

They probably brought him back just to use up remaining dates on his contract. They are paying him a lot after all, so there is no need to leave him with unused dates.

At this point I really feel like it doesn't matter. WM30 is going to be a debacle of epic proportions, and the EC match is probably going to be meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

Another injury for Christian, really? Use him WWE, he is very talented. If anything take Cesaro out, as much as I want him in. This is just going to be used as a way to have the Real Americans split, as he will probably be eliminated first due to interference from Swagger.

His fans adore him & For everyone else he's just there.

Yeah, I think Colter will say something to Swagger about losing to Christian while Cesaro beat Ziggler that will piss him off, but he probably won't turn until after the EC PPV so they can have a match at Mania.

The elimination chamber is too close to Wrestlemania.
The luster is gone, it's only purpose is to provide a gateway should they want a last minute matchup at 'Mania.

It doesn't really matter who's in and who's not.

I love Swagger... but I don't see him coming out of the "Real Americans" split as the top guy. Cesaro may not have his technical skill, but he's a more entertaining wrestler and a more engaging character.

Me saying him coming out the split as the face doesn't necessarily mean he'll be the top guy. At the moment WWE needs big heels & Cesaro is perfect for that.

Yeah, totally my bad. I misread your statement as saying that he would be the one to break out after the team broken up, rather than that he would be the one to go face in the face/heel alignment. You're probably right about that.
