I've never even heard of Firefly.... It was a short-lived science-fiction series created by Joss Whedon (the guy who did Buffy, Angel, & The Avengers movie). It only lasted one season. Great show. The movie follow-up not so much. Not Whedon's best work, IMO. His best stuff ever was Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (Yes, the whole thing is like 42 minutes long)

Serenity (the follow up film to the Firefly T.V. series) wasn't bad. I thought they did as good a job as they could wrapping up a great series that died too soon. Film's an entirely different animal than Television. Can't do as much in an hour and a half as you can in a season of television. The film does suppose that you have watched the series.

I just didn't feel like it lived up to the quality of the show, and honestly, didn't feel like it wrapped up anything really. They just killed a bunch of characters and said "well, that's it, our job is done here." The only characters whose storyline felt completed were River and Simon.

Hey if I could have casted a vote the show would made it's tenth season. They had such a hard time getting that made that I think that's all they really could do. I think by killing off the cast they took the fans demanding another film off the table and just gently let it die. Definitely not as great as the series, but I enjoyed it. It's a shame that the network never really understood the show. They decided to run like the third or fourth episode as the pilot because they thought the pilot didn't have enough action. Which made it really confusing for the audience. They also stuck it in a crappy time slot. It was really doomed from the get go. Thankfully you can watch it all chronologically on dvd or on Netflix .

I don't know if anybody here is an NCIS fan (I'm not, in particular), but they're doing yet another spin-off, set in New Orleans, and Scott Bakula (Quantum Leap, Star Trek: Enterprise) is going to play the lead. I used to like NCIS, but not anymore. Nowadays it's just more of the same... And NCIS LA is even worse. Each and every episode feels exactly the same...

Your mind is always changing, due to you perceiving new information all the time. This specific incident is not significant enough for you to announce, as your opinion was not founded deeply enough.

On a side note, even though everything soon just said is technically correct... because you're getting this snark from a 15 year old, I would advocate a great deal of violence against him. As a corrective measure, of course.
