Ah yes, I'm a huge fan of Groo the Wanderer. I grew up with that comic, it was my favorite one as a kid. Even introduced one of my friends to it and he wound up loving it too. i first stumbled upon it at a random Illinois gas station during a very long car trip in 1986, I bought it because it looked kind of like a Conan the Barbarian comic. Stuck with it for about the next 7 or 8 years.
That's weird, as popular as Groo is in some circles (the author is Sergio Aragones, famous for his decades of work in MAD among other things), I've personally met very few fellow fans so it's cool to see someone else who knows about the character. You wouldn't happen to be my buddy from Wisconsin, would you? Lol.

I was wondering how long it would take you to figure it out with all the little Easter eggs I left for you. You've been telling me to join for a while now, so I finally did.

Why didn't you sign up with your usual name? Just thought I'd go incognito, see if you could tell it was me. Speaking of my usual name, any way to change it to that?

Ha, being cynical and mistrustful as I am I saw a few things that struck me as kind of familiar but I didn't really think it might be you until I saw this thread. But yeah I think I should be able to get you your normal handle, I think people have changed their screen names here before.

That's lies. WSS used to be "Brawn" (I think? I can't keep track of everyone's name changes) and we charged him one dollar per letter to change. You're getting the discount rate and that's only because I know you.

I normally don't allow name changes, HowardBWare, that's why I had that feature blocked. However I have let WSS? (Brawn) and TomJohns (tomjohnson) changed their names (and I'm allowing you, lol). Brawn didn't want to be associated with that name at all, he changed it universally and Tom basically kept his the same. I also don't care about your name change because I prefer to have names that people recognize anyways, lol.
We had people changing their names daily, which is mainly why I blocked the feature.

Anyway Bane I personally like restricting name changes to the staff. THQ let people change names on a whim and, well, people did. It got very confusing and easy for people to screw with each other that way.
