I don't know why so many like Nova (either of them) the character (both Sam and Richard) are really boring to me. thats the appeal. They are normal well richard is. They are not super smart or really athletic they are average beings that's why ( Richard) was selected to be a nova

It's Sam Alexander but not. He's got Sam's name but Dick Ryder's (*snicker*) helmet... Sam is a black helmet, an elite. Ryder was just another GL ripoff. i love the supernova look

As far as I know, she never actually existed in Marvel until Mighty Avengers, w hich came out after the Spider-Man cartoon. The comic version is pretty similar to the cartoon version, except that she's older.

I find Sam anything but boring. I think comics need more young heroes. They had some great ones, they all grew up, and for a long time there were none, as if young people just didn't get powers unless they were X-Men.

The comic version is pretty similar to the cartoon version, except that she's older. Apparently she did exist, The "White Tiger" was Hector Ayala, a male superhero in the 70's. Then the female White Tiger (White Tiger 2) was an indian female tiger who was transformed into a human, She was in 'Hero's For Hire' in the early 90's That goes on for a while... Then the Current and 5th White Tiger, Is the daughter of Hector Ayala (1st WT) and was created in 2011 appearing in Avengers Academy from #20 to it's final #39. She is currently in Mighty Avengers (Ah Google.)

Is 'The Mighty Avengers' any good? I'm only 2 issues in, but it's not really my thing. It's supposed to be the "street level" Avengers I guess, but I'm over the whole "Luke Cage is a daddy now and is obsessed with making paychecks."

Because generally speaking, Black Widow has pretty much always been exactly what I expect from comic book guys writing about a super sexy female spy... in other words, extremely boring and predictable.

The Spy thing interests me. Okay, so here's the thing... while I'm sure there have been espionage-oriented stories involving Black Widow from time to time, the whole "she's a spy!" thing has by and large been nothing more than a background explanation for why she can hang out with super heroes. That's what I was talking about. IMO, Captain America has had far more traditional "spy" stories than Widow, and if you really want spy stuff from Marvel, you have to go to pre-Sam Jacksonization Nick Fury.
