Their report mentions the return has just been locked in within the past 48 hours. Holy crapski! The Undertaker finds the wherewithal to drag the shell of what once was into a coveted Wrestlemania spot that's destined to be a five star classic because it's Undertaker.
I'd rather see Santina return and defend his title of Miss Wrestlemania. Unfortunately, all due respect, Mae Young passed recently and the WWE simply doesn't care to cultivate new talwnt anymore, so they don't have an opponent for Santino.
I would say this garners a yawn, but this was yawn inducing three years ago. Now I say "screw you, 'Taker. Go away forever please.
Sincerely, that dude who realized your time was up a decade ago."

Yea it doesn't excite me. I like Taker but his time is up and I'm sick of the streak.

See kids? THIS is how you properly react to an Undertaker return announcement. Hit the bricks old timer.

I'm a big Undertaker fan, but I have to agree.
When 'Taker wrestles nowadays, he looks as old as Flair. Now 'Taker will have jokes about him saying that he wrestled with Moses...
Undertaker needs to retire if he loves his life. Screw breaking the Streak, just retire. Especially if Brock Lesnar is supposed/rumored to be your opponent...

Honestly, last year should have been it. I only say that because of the Paul bearer passing, although the match itself was a bit lackluster. Sorry it was...
Undertaker and his streak if you're never going to end it, then its time he retired.

I thought that he was going to retire at the all-important 20th win. Maybe now he'll retire at the all-important 30th Wrestlemania. Might actually make the show mildly interesting.
I'll always love the original character but my god, when does it end? It's cool that he and Vince have a great relationship and all but when you're so decrepit that you can only work one day a year and aren't even showing up to promote it until a few weeks beforehand it's really time to hang up the boots. How wise is it to go a year between matches anyway? That can't possibly be the right way to reduce injury.

Although I think that the wrestling zombie and his legions of fans are absolutely goofy and wish I'd never even heard of it, I generally respect the worker behind the gimmick... but every single year that this carries on, I lose respect for him more and more. I know people loved his matches with Michaels, but as far as I'm concerned Undertaker's (already limited) ability was obviously fading even back then, and for this to keep being promoted as something to look forward to is almost as ridiculous as them expecting me not to notice that Bray Wyatt is a terrible wrestler.

Shit if all I had to do was show up to work for a month, and make more than most of the other guys on the roster I'd let my grandkids wheel me to the ring. I think he should switch to commentary and have an elaborate entrance each night before hi sits at the announcers table.

I think he should switch to commentary and have an elaborate entrance each night before hi sits at the announcers table. I see where you're coming from... but I do have a problem with performers continuing to collect a paycheck when they obviously can't go anymore, and I especially take exception to that behavior from supposedly "respectable" guys. It's not as if I hold 'Taker to a different standard because I think his character is absolutely idiotic... I've said the exact same thing about HHH. His last several matches have also been abysmal, and I lose respect as he continually books himself.

Yeah but at the end of the day this is his job. He has first and foremost a responsibility to his family. The more.money he brings in for them the better off they are. If Vince is willing to pay him he'd be a fool.not to take it.

If Vince is willing to pay him he'd be a fool.not to take it. Yeah... I don't agree. He's got more money than his kids' kids will ever spend. He doesn't need the money. If money is his motivation, I have even less respect for him than I do now, because I tend to think he does it for the fans and out of loyalty to Vince. No matter what his reason, a guy who has spent his career trying to be a symbol of what a guy should be backstage isn't setting a great example by taking opportunities from younger talent.

It's his job. I'm sure he does love it, but I doubt he'd it for free. And it's a little presumptuous to assume that he don't need more money. I LOVE MY JOB. I would be be there tomorrow if they stopped paying me. Just because his job is being an entertainer in a forum you hold dear as a fan doesn't make him some kind of disgrace if he happens to be financially motivated.

I'm not "presuming" anything. If you can't live on 20 million dollars, that's a pretty serious problem

I'll.be honest I don't care to watch the man wrestle anymore either. I'm just not going to judge the man for earning. You'd be surprised how quick someone who don't know how to manage their money can blow through it. He may do fine, but once he's dead? He has every right to earn as much as he'd like.
