Yeah but at the end of the day this is his job. He has first and foremost a responsibility to his family. The more.money he brings in for them the better off they are. If Vince is willing to pay him he'd be a fool.not to take it. Yeah... I don't agree. He's got more money than his kids' kids will ever spend. He doesn't need the money. If money is his motivation, I have even less respect for him than I do now, because I tend to think he does it for the fans and out of loyalty to Vince. No matter what his reason, a guy who has spent his career trying to be a symbol of what a guy should be backstage isn't setting a great example by taking opportunities from younger talent. Well, he does say that he wants someone young to break the Streak... I would say that it's whoever books the matches fault, but since 'Taker, like HHH, has full creative control over their character, it's kind if his fault too... I digress... My main point is: If you're going to take over 3 years to find somebody good enough to end The Streak, and you're taking up time and you can't go for SHIT anymore, why break the Streak? Just retire. (Coming from an Undertaker fan).

Over 3 years? Undertaker should have retired before the first Shawn Michaels match, and that was what? 5 years ago now? 6?

s*** if all I had to do was show up to work for a month, and make more than most of the other guys on the roster I'd let my grandkids wheel me to the ring. I think he should switch to commentary and have an elaborate entrance each night before hi sits at the announcers table. *Chortle*

"Full" Creative Control almost never means "full creative control." It means the ability to override booking decisions so, for instance, if Undertaker didn't want to lose a match to Brock, he would have the right to refuse. Very few guys have actually been allowed to outright book themselves (unless they were also the head booker), and when they do, it's usually a disaster.

I've heard that Taker has suggested that the streak be beaten on several different occasions but was always "overruled" by either Vince or the opponents themselves. I've also heard that Taker chooses his own Mania opponent and has for some time. Whether there's truth to any of this, I can't say.
Letting Bryan be the one to beat the streak (if it were to happen at all) WOULD be a pretty amazing way to show the guy the respect that he's deserved and failed to receive for several years now.

I'm opposed to Bryan ending the streak. Last year when he was an amazing worker? Absolutely. He chose to go the route most traveled, and lost my support in so doing. I hope he and all of his diehards enjoy his "superkick but with the knee!" finisher. I'm over it.
IF Taker is picking his opponents... Lesnar would be an exceptionally odd choice, unless 'Taker just wants to keep the big dumb goon from injuring anyone that actually matters. On the bright side, it would be the first time in years that the inevitable "Undertaker becomes indestructible and conquers all!" ending wouldn't piss me off.

He put The Shield over more than once & D-Bry was his first pick for an opponent this year (apparently)

the streak is a dead (no pun) end. there is no way it can end without people being pissed about it (can say that about most things wrestling related), they had the perfect chance to do it in the HiaC match...HBK screwjob, but they couldn't do it...dumbasses..

IMO Punk should've ended it last year. A Clean win, I don't like the idea of a screwjob on any match.

Punk is bigger right now than 'Taker has been in years. 2) Punk was great? Really? When? When Heyman was doing all of his talking for him? When it was incredibly obvious all the way throughout that he was going to lose anyway? When he put on one of the worst matches of his WWE career... at Wrestlemania no less? 3) How did he put Over the Shield, exactly? 4) Nobody knows that Bryan was his first choice for anything. That's just speculation.

and no on Punk. no cruiserweights going over... ... I'd vote no on Punk, but I would have been excited to see Bryan end the streak. For me it's not about weight or size, it's about general worthiness.
