That's equally ridiculous. Unless someone is a hardcore social network douche or lives in a commune with dozens of other gamers he isn't ever going to have 100 friends who own, and regularly play, not only the same system but the same games as himself. And certainly not two or four thousand.
Regardless, I think that's stupid to have a limit. Unless there's some kind of practical need to cap the amount of friends (and the 2-4 thousand limit that you mentioned as existing on the PS4 suggests that there isn't), it strikes me as a typical "gimp the free stuff to make people pay for the 'full' service" scenario.

Shoulda just got PS+ so you could have unlimited friends. They limit how many friends you can have? That's ridiculous. I've just been doing it out of the sheer frustration of wading through a bunch of names that I never actually interact with. I know you aren't getting wwe2k14 for PS3, but so you still have wwe 13? For ps3? If then, I'll add you. |
