The closest I've got to playing with friends online, is playing L4D with Soon. Otherwise I mostly play public matches.

I'm not usually online long enough for extended games with pals due to family obligations, etc, and on top of that my schedule somehow has to line up with someone else's schedule, etc... My gaming is MUCH more casual than that. |
