While I can understand the commentators annoyance, Punk was a popular guy. They should expect lingering Punk chants to happen for a while.

weren't you the guy who was defending the crowd's "right" to chant "HUSKY HARRIS" when Bray made his debut? Well, actually, no. I was pointing out the stupidity of claiming that the chants had "ruined" Bray's debut and of expecting the audience to just go along with the notion that Wyatt was some new guy they'd never seen before. BUT... yes, I'll defend the crowds right to chant whatever they want... and in my opinion, JBL, Cole, and Lawler aren't remotely suggesting that the crowd shouldn't have the right to chant whatever they want. They're commenting on the fleeting nature of popularity and the half-heartedness of the support for Punk. The Commentator's agitation isn't with the crowd... it's with Punk. Do you think they're telling the crowd to "go away", seriously? No. They're expressing their displeasure with Punk.

I think King, Cole and JBL should take their own advice and go away. You know so they can make room for people who are actually interested in calling matches instead of telling me about twitter or the least thing going on in pop culture.
I couldn't care less about the CM Punk thing at this point. If he stay great, if not oh well.

Really I don't think any commentary team would be any different, I'm sure creative scripts a lot of what they say. If you had Shield on commentary they'd still have to talk about Twitter, WWE Network, movies, etc, etc, etc. So it makes no difference.

Sadly, I don't think we're going to get a better commentary team because this is the kind of commentary WWE wants.
