Valentines Day is another sad excuse of a holiday from Hallmark.
The other being Easter.

Easter is actually a religious holiday. It's simply been tarnished by bunnies and eggs.
Grampy beat me to an Eighties reference. I now hold my head in shame and shall retreat several miles away until I can properly remedy the situation.
Or I can whip out Celine Dion's "all by myself."
Such a stupid holiday. Reminding me that even as the sexy beast that I am I still can't get the girl.

1) Valentines Day should not be a "romantic" holiday. It's absolutely stupid that we associate the celebration of the faith of a martyr in the face of execution by a hostile government by pretending the important part of his life was performing marriages (when we remember that it's actually SAINT Valentines day at all...)
2) Wife and I had a very nice time 8)
3) "Singles Awareness Day" my ass. Singles have ALL of the awareness in today's culture. If anything, we need a holiday to make singles less douchey to people in relationships.
