Several shoots I've listened to have echoed the apparent fact that Vince respects go-getters, men who come right out and say "I WANT the title. I want a shot and I'm ready for one, give me the belt and let me show you what I can do".

That's fine, I just don't believe the suggestion that it's all on the superstar's side. I'm sure that Vince doesn't go for just anybody who's hungry especially when that includes probably 98% of the locker room.

well yeah, the guy would have to  be worth the push, not that every guy to be pushed has been worth it.
