I could see Stewart as Abin Sur, or maybe Sinestro. I could definitely see him as a Guardian.

I don't see why race shouldn't be any different from hair color, but sure, let's just go with whatever you say. The race of the character doesn't really matter in the end but if your going to do a movie that follow the comics it's best to use the race they are . This would be like DC taking Cyborg and Static Shock and making them white or Asian(or make Wonder Woman Latino) . Having a black Storm doesn't mean the movie is going to suck but fans are going to bothered by them taking a beloved character and changing him. Remember people cmplained about RoboCop suit being black, Capcom changing Dante appearance, and people got so upset with Sony for changing Cole Mcgrath appearance and voice for Infamous 2 they changed it backed

Just the idea of a new Robocop movie. I disagree with your opinion of a character's race though: I think it DOES matter in the end. Where it DOESN'T matter is in the beginning. I say make a comic book character whatever color or gender you want. There's nothing wrong with characters of all types. But if someone is going to then go and make a film about those characters, he or she should get an actor who actually looks the part. If a Hispanic character gets his own movie and two equally excellent actors- one Hispanic and one Caucasian- both read for the part, should it really go to the white guy? Of course not. So to those who think that this doesn't matter as long as the actor is good, I ask this: Did no good white actors apply for the part of Johnny Storm? If so, why exactly were they turned down? In other news, the upcoming Batman vs. Superman movie will star Diamond of the original American Gladiators and four Choco Tacos.
