Oh don't get me wrong, I have well over 400 Mugen characters. It just so happens that many of them are crap. That's the problem with a community that's based on a homemade, customizable fighting game- you never know when a character will actually function properly, look professional, or in many cases even have decent (or any) moves. I've found that it's best to make a roster comprised primarily of characters from official fighting games and then support it with handfuls of unique or miscellaneous characters. If you just go downloading every fighter that looks interesting, like I did, you'll soon find yourself drowning in super-cheap overpowered characters and original creations that can't fight worth shit.

No problemo, dude. If I run across any other sites, I'll put them in this thread (I should probably put them in the OP).

Who the Hell is Isaiah Bradley? Isaiah Bradley was a black dude that they tested the super soldier serum on in WWII before they used it on Steve Rogers.

Oh yeah, you're welcome for that explanation of how to install characters too. To install stages, you download one and this time take the files (usually two) out of the folder and drop them directly into Mugen's "stages" folder. You then go into the select.def that you modified characters with and scroll down some more to find a similar area to enter lines for stages. Again, Kung Fu Man's stage will already be there as an example. You simply substitute "Kungfustage" (or whatever they have) and write the exact name of the stage file you just added in. Unlike characters, which are limited to the (rather generous) amount of available slots, you can have as many stages as you want I think. At least a couple hundred. They rotate randomly unless you want to assign them to a specific character which requires more text edits. Also, for characters whose names I know (in your case The Hulk, Spider-Man, Link, etc.), I just google them followed by the word "Mugen". A quick search for "Magneto Mugen" just brought me to several sites where I can download him from. In general though, the Mugen community is all about archiving, sharing and collecting- part of the fun is assembling your own roster by scouring the various sites, looking at pictures and grabbing characters that look cool. Though again, if they don't come directly from actual official games, there's a good chance that they'll play like crap, lol.

I did, I'm almost sure that I still do. I can check for you later. Never use him though, he and Leela both suck. I don't remember then having any real moves beyond basic punches and kicks.

I think if I end up getting free time, I may try making my own characters and sprites. I've made sprites before (for a pokemon game I made, but nonetheless) so maybe I can try to cook up some good characters and moves. If I end up doing it (and enjoying it) I can take requests and stuff and try making characters pretty good. By the way, thanks, but I just found a Bender

Lol I'm telling you, half of them probably suck. It's too easy to grab dozens and dozens of characters without really taking the time to check whether they're actually fully developed fighters. But whatever floats your boat, after all. I tried to do something as simple as change the select screen portrait of a character once. Giant pain in the ass.

One with everybody (not for playing, but for watching for like a draft type of thing) and one with all balanced characters or pretty close (which is basically all marvel/DC).
