In a shocking (or not so) turn of events Vitor "The Phenom" Belfort has pulled out of his scheduled UFC Middleweight title fight with Chris Weidman. He will be replaced by Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida. According to "sources" this was the UFC's decision, due to Nevada's decision to ban all TRT use and plans to no longer allow exemptions.

one guy found a new level of dumb when he pointed out that Vitor won titles before TRT was even a thing. which is true, he won them on steroids which is why he needs TRT today..

Dammit, I don't think that Lyoto Machida is ready for this fight yet. Do he have what it takes to beat Chris Weidman? Yes, he do. But Weidman have finally broke the Spider's trap... by the will to keep throwing. Because he was pretty much caught in the trap. Anderson just wasn't planning on getting knocked out.
The thing about Lyoto, everybody already knows his tricks. But Anderson did show us that you can get into Weidman's head. Lyoto have to out-think weidman in this fight in order to win.

i had Vitor winning, i don't see Lyoto pulling it off.. Me too. But Lyoto can pull it off. It's a smart fight. Lyoto can strike and can stop a takedown. Weidman does a'ight on his feet, good at takedowns and have strength to keep a tight submission hold on his opponents. Lyoto have tricky feets, and throws combination of straight punches. He can explode on his opponents. Weidman can catch his feet and go for an easy takedown, and can check his kicks. But we got to remember that Lyoto likes to feint his kicks. Leaving Weidman wanting to sees the opportunity of a takedown. A combo of straight punches can follow, if Weidman is suckered in by his feints. |

let's also be sure not to forget that Lyoto uses feints very much in the same way Spider uses taunts.
