So then who the hell is that white haired chick? Mad Maxine Ryder. I just said that. Oh, okay. I've never heard of her before...

Whether they should or not is irrelevant to me. It's impossible to hijack a show by chanting if the people making the show don't care what you chant. I dunno. Had thousands of fans actually attended the show and done what was discussed on the itinerary it would have been such a coordinated act of protest that I would think even the WWE would react. It would have been a very public embarrassment to see the crowd literally turn its back on specific segments. WWE might want to concerned with the WWE title match at WM unless they think fans will just cheer Orton as the lesser of two evils.

Except that WWE wouldn't have to broadcast any of it, and therefore could continue to act as if it didn't happen. WWE has repeatedly shown that they don't let fans dictate anything to them. It's not that they don't know or even that they don't care... it's only that they don't want the fans to get the impression that they can control anything and everything just by making jackasses of themselves.

I agree, Vince's style is to no sell. How could they have gotten away with not broadcasting it though? And wouldn't the investors catch wind of it and be concerned?

If WWE keeps this hijacking stuff going, that means those who want to hijack the show will have to keep buying tickets. In the end this is a winning situation for WWE, not a losing one.

Also, WWE didn't forget WCW's TV tricks. Use tight camera shots to hide what you don't want the TV audience to see. Dub over the audio. So on and so on.

Fans willingly spending money on something that they hate is where logic flies out the window.

That's the problem the best way to send a message is to not give them money. Corporations only know one thing and that's money, stop the money and they will listen.

Why do you think heels exist in WWE? The more people hate those heels, the more they'll pay to see them get their ass beat. In this sense the fans are paying in the hopes of beating WWE's management and convincing them that the fans know what is best for the company. The fans then pay money to visit the stadiums and do this, hoping that WWE will finally see their way of things, while in the mean time WWE is laughing all the way to bank while continuing to slap the fans around. Eventually the WWE is going to abuse this for storyline purposes, and when they do and they do it right, it'll possibly be the greatest cash in WWE has had in a long time.

Not when you can place a face on that hatred and openly mock that face without fear of repercussion simply by forking over some cash.

Not when you can place a face on that hatred and openly mock that face without fear of repercussion simply by forking over some cash. That would be an unsustainable business model. The WWE can only make money by toying with the fans' distaste for so long before those fans finally decide to move on. Everyone has a limit, even oddly tolerant wrestling fans.

The WWE can only make money by toying with the fans' distaste for so long before those fans finally decide to move on. Everyone has a limit, even oddly tolerant wrestling fans. That's why WWE keeps them just on the edge by giving their favorites a big moment before then crushing them down again, usually due to authority involvement.
