I'm not very much in favor of plugging stuff (especially stuff that I'm not in any way affiliated with), but I feel like you people should know about this game. Here's the deal about Pro Wrestling X. It is being made by a small team of developers for the PC, Mac and Linux platforms and it plans to feel like No Mercy (although it's an entirely NEW game, NOT A MOD) yet be different and refreshing. I've been following the project for years but, until the past year, it had never received the proper funding to escape prototype/concept hell. Some aspects about the story behind it can be really moving. My suggestion is that you take a look at it and make up your minds. Last but not least, it will be fully MODDABLE. I've learned not to get too excited about indie / homebrew wrestling games until they're actually released and playable, but it looks decent so far. Mdickie made a great wrestling game so I don't see why someone else can't if they have a budget.

Pro Wrestling X has been in development for YEARS. It is never coming out. I know that but I'm very positive that this year will be THE year. It's due to be Greenlit on Steam any time now and they will release it as Early Access there. |

Okay, so let's pretend it's actually coming out and isn't just a continuation of an ongoing false promise from almost a decade ago. Have you looked at what this "game" entails? Two wrestlers and a couple hundred moves. Woo... hoo(?) This is all smoke and mirrors. It's a pathetic money grab by people who think that wrestling gamers are idiots (probably because for the most part, wrestling gamers ARE idiots) who will buy ANYTHING so long as it promises to be different from the WWE games. |

:lol: Steam Greenlight's a total failure, and is a demonstration why indie games aren't as perfect as hipsters say they are.

OK, double team on me, but I haven't bought/funded the game yet. I'm still open to see where this leads, though.  As far as the animations are concerned, it clearly says it's alpha footage. |

I generally don't buy wrestling games from indy guys, this looks a bit dated. That's not to say it won't be good, and I wish the dev luck, but I probably won't be buying this.

If it has a new Sweet Chin Music, then it is already better than 2K WWE games. But seeing as how that suplex looks horrible, I don't have very high hopes for it.

It was never "in development", that's the problem LOL It was a guy who was good firing people up and convincing them that he knew what a wrestling game should be. As soon as it came time for the game to actually move from idea to reality, it was hilarious watching them squabble like children over how the game should be made, etc. As it turns out, a lot of "volunteers" aren't all that happy to work if they're not getting everything their own way on a project, etc. I think they took it down, but the old forum for this "game" was a laugh riot, as long as you weren't under the sad delusion that this "game" was anything other than a joke to begin with. |
