In all seriousness, there's something I legitimately want to talk about. How was the Daniel Bryan / Triple H match? I've been reading a lot of things that suggest it was surprisingly good, a legitimately entertaining back and forth technical bout. It was. It set the tone for the whole night. It showed HHH as the wrestler people claim he isn't. He and Bryan worked a very good match. I think it was the second best match of the night. HHH put over Bryan in a way that made both men look strong but made Bryan look like a guy HHH didn't know how to beat. Steph was a nice touch to the match as well. |

He should have made it his retirement match. HHH did a lot of actual 'wrestling" that he probably hasn't done in... 5 years, at least. He slowly dismantled Bryan like he used to back in the day with a lot of smart, targeted maneuvers (going after Bryan's "injured" shoulder), and hit several moves that I've never seen him hit before, including a tiger suplex. |

Oh c'mon dude. You KNOW that's simply not true. "Smark" is and always has been an insult in the wrestling world. Kevin Nash refers to us as "fucking marks" all the time. That sounds more insulting to me.  In my experience, they're both insults... |

Well Bryan is the man now. He has a Mania documentary special tomorrow I think Bryan will keep the title a while, that's good at least, I guess, even though I haven't enjoyed watching him work for months now ever since he went from "technical wrestler" to "hyperkinetic gerbil." He's got to give Orton his rematch, and then most likely will feud with Lesnar. |

Wow, sounds like I'm gonna have to check out the Bryan / Hunter match then. Actually the impression I'm getting is that this was, for once, finally a semi-decent Mania overall. Well maybe 50/50 at least. I still hear that the main event was a snoozefest, that the Shield match was a fast meh, and of course who really cares about the diva match.
...Okay never mind, it sounds like this Mania sucked like they all have over the last decade, but at least this one actually had a couple of good matches and / or outcomes to make things somewhat entertaining.
