Thing is, the WWE absolutely knew there would be this fan outrage and did it anyway. For some reason they still seem to think they can draw in the MMA crowd with Brock. Vince, you can't. But Brock made wrestling real........

Speaking of Wrestlemania 30 I chuckled during the Cena vs Wyatt match when Cena had the chair and the referee said "this is not who you are John" some official he is, being a consultant and not refereeing. I was chuckling throughout the entirety of that match. It wasn't until the ref's inspirational "remember who you are" moment that me and my dad turned to each other and fell to the floor in a fit of laughter. 'Taker/Brock had the dumbest finish, but Wyatt/Cena may well have had the dumbest work. Well, WWE doesn't fail to disappoint in the disappointment factor it's the new fad. Taker vs Lesnar just surprised, that's all. Cena vs Wyatt funny "storytelling" but meh Cena's attempt to being a monster was quite laughable...Well I'm glad Kane failed with the monster thing on Cena xD Yeah Wyatt's storyline was recycled from Kane's masked return. Good thing the WWE universe has such terrible memory..maybe it'll work this time...

My personal irritation with him aside, I would also like to point out that, so far as I can tell, Howard wasn't treated any differently than we are always treating one-another. That's just how we roll around here. ... I was actually pretty proud of myself for never once calling him a name 8) It was the general attitude, the way everything was handled that bothered me. It was immediately assumed that he was deliberately trying to cause a disturbance (and formally warned not to do so). I really don't want to call Raven out because I know that he was just trying to do the right thing but that's basically what started it. I would never have given a warning to anybody, regardless of who, for what was said in Howard's original post. Once that was done however, it basically set the tone that followed. "Ah, we have a troublemaker. Maybe you need to back down there, troublemaker". He wasn't trying to do anything wrong, of course he's going to get defensive. I love you guys and regardless of what you think I don't like taking sides. But in this case I do happen to be in the unique position of knowing the person who was scolded and what his motivations were, and he just wanted to enthusiastically talk about an outcome that he was genuinely entertained by. We're a dysfunctional family, yes, but we're not a group of elitists. I'm disappointed when we have to view someone as a deliberate provocateur simply because he's new and has an unpopular opinion. It's over and done with so whatever, I just think that things didn't need to get so out of hand. It's a scripted display of choreographed pajama fighting, for poop's sake.

Just in case anyone is unfamiliar with the term smark means smart mark and is in no way an insult to anything "Smark" is always used as an insult. I disagree, I openly consider myself a smark. All of us are people who follow the product and get into the mechanics and creative process behind it. We're people who are being targeted yet we're willing participants of the work. That's exactly what a smark is. Just because it's developed a negative connotation over the years doesn't mean that it no longer applies to us.

Media outlets that don't normally cover wrestling news are discussing the fan outrage about Lesnar winning, so it's having an impact, at least in that it's bad press Really? Who? I want to see I heard them talking about it on the local sports radio station (which NEVER covers wrestling, for obvious reasons), which is an ESPN affiliate. They also played clips from some local news stories, but I think they were both out of New Orleans itself

"Smark" is always used as an insult. nope, it used to refer to fans who were savvy to kayfabe, now it pretty much refers to people who love the inter-workings of the buisness Oh c'mon dude. You KNOW that's simply not true. "Smark" is and always has been an insult in the wrestling world.

They are going to have to pull out something crazy tonight.

Thrown under the bus again and again. Mike we might be starting a feud Yeah, well. The "Corporate Champion" has a great memory. In all seriousness, there's something I legitimately want to talk about. How was the Daniel Bryan / Triple H match? I've been reading a lot of things that suggest it was surprisingly good, a legitimately entertaining back and forth technical bout.

On the brightside though, everything I've said over the past week was because I've had a bad week, lol. The streak thing was just so stupid that honestly I'm willing to bitch out anybody that tries to defend the point, lol. I'm just glad I wasn't here when Howard said what he did, because I would've told him he was wrong in probably a mean way....worse than the others, lol. Not because it's his opinion, or even that he was wrong, but because I've just had a bad week in general and am very irritated as of late, lol.

"Smark" is and always has been an insult in the wrestling world. Kevin Nash refers to us as "fucking marks" all the time. That sounds more insulting to me.

Urban Dictionary doesn't mention "smark" being an insult, in fairness... but I have NEVER heard the term used in any other way, until today, aside from the fact that (as I said earlier in this thread) I myself have always worn the term as a badge of honor.
... in fact stewie has repeatedly attempted to insult me by calling me a smark LOL
