I don't have a protege, so the point is moot I knew that of course. I was arguing with Steve because it's always entertaining to do so with idiots.

Not as fun of a fact as what Star Wars was originally going to be called...

I DO hate John Travolta, so there is that. Who doesn't? Phil Lamar hates him too. They had a horrible car accident riding together.

I wonder, are there any good Lord of the Ring games out there? Video games? Because there was a great Lord of the Rings table top RPG several years back 8) Let me think... nope, can't think of a single LotR video game that I really enjoyed.

I own Lord of the Rings: Conquest(Awful game by the way) and Lord of the Rings War in the North(Terrible story with bad gameplay that completely butchered Tolkien's works).

I've heard awful things about War in the North LOL As you should have. There is a very terrible story(If you can call it that) and all of the characters are completely uninteresting and bland. Also the gameplay is really bad and feels much too...loose? Also the game has only the littlest to do with The Lord of the Rings, movies or books.

It's hard to write good stories for Lord of the Rings because casual fans want stuff they recognize, and Tolkien really covered pretty much every possible detail of the Third Age.

What if somebody went ahead and went into the Fourth Age for a game? Or perhaps somebody did one of the earlier ages that Tolkien didn't cover nearly as much as the Third Age? It would open up many more opportunities for them to explore...

I agree... but I don't know what the market would be for that, because the casual fan isn't going to have an easy time getting into the lore of the earlier ages, and won't necessarily like the grimmer tone of the 4th Age.

I had a lot of fun with LOTR: The Battle for Middle Earth but then I enjoy RTS games. Both games were good, I had the most fun with the original.
