Those are obviously some pretty severe problems but I wonder if they went on to be patched long ago. No matter I guess, I'd be more interested in the medieval setting anyway.

They still weren't patched last I checked. In fact with each patch it seems more people are having the common crashes problem, and several times patches have caused quite a few people to be unable to play the actual game. This might have changed in the last two months but I doubt it. Also Medieval 2 is overall the bigger game and spans over a much larger time frame. Also once again I refer you to the Third Age mod for Medieval 2(But if you decide to use this mod make sure to make a backup of all the files in case you make a mistake and replace the game files instead of a mod folder file) Also I'm getting a heavy case of deja vu right now so I'm going to bash my head with a hammer. Be right back...

Lol Rome II wasn't patched even years later? That's pretty lame, especially for such a famous series.
I think I down...went down to the store to pick up a copy of Medieval II a while back. I've probably got it just waiting to be installed somewhere.

Rome II came out THIS year? Then I don't know what I played, it was a Total War game and seemed relatively modern when I checked it out about two years ago. Could have been the first Rome game I suppose, I wouldn't know but I thought that came out in the mid 2000s.

Shogun: Total War(2000) Medieval: Total War(2002) Rome: Total War(2004) Medieval 2: Total War(2006) Empire: Total War(2009) And then there were three more games that are a lot more recent(Napolean, Shogun 2, and Rome 2) Also the Shogun series, the Medieval series, and the Rome series are finished now, as the devs have said they do not wish to make more than 2 games to a series.

Rome was always my favourite period of history regarding warfare and the like.
The first Rome game disappointed me - it focussed too much on on sieges and taking out cities, rather than open warfare.
I didn't pick up a Total War game since Medieval 2 because of the same issues.

I've thought of buying Empire before but never did.

I've thought of buying Empire before but never did. Empire and Napoleon were both rather poor. Be glad that you didn't.

From the looks on Metacritic, Empire got some really good reviews. Not saying it's any good because I've never played it but I usually side with critics on most games.
The only reason I didn't buy it is that I have phobia of purchasing PC games.

Absolutely true, and messes like Rome 2 are the exact reason I do have a phobia of buying PC games.

I guess it must have been the original Rome that I played, though the game felt too new (seemed to look too good for a mid 2000s game as well, but I suppose there it is).

I may or may not have bought a roxio game capture and may or may not be expecting to arrive today... Not sure what to record. I won't remember any of you when I become a youtube megastar, but I will if the most likely outcome will happen, that one involves a lot of videos with a handful of views, failure and alcohol. *Honk*

Drunken gaming has got to be worth a few hits.

"Shakes The Clown video game spotlight" I want to tell you to knock it off, but you're not doing anything I wouldn't do. All I can can say is that to be on topic, in WWE 2K14 I've finished creating my WrestleClown CAW for those who care. I might upload him soo- *Spotlight flickers out* Damn it, Mike... *Honk*

I did what, now?
Homeless pedophile. I guess it's good that he was homeless so he had nowhere to take his prey.
