I predict that Shazam is going to flop. I don't think it has nearly the marketability that DC thinks in the broad market. It's only occasionally popular in comic book crowds.

Sit down, Skyler, you're delusional. Hawkeye has been one of Marvel's best since the nineteen sixties. It's the movie Hawkeye that sucks. by nobody I meant casual fans! And don't tell me go calm down. You just sit there and keep puffing on your pink sparkles you Plebian

I'm surprised they're putting out Shazam and Sandman before the Justice League when the aforementioned won't help market JLA in any way.

You'd think they'd want the movies stating the "Holy Trinity" (Geez I find that term annoying) back-to back I got a little chuckle out of MoS 2 being last

Trident's gum! An insult! I'll show you just how pink I'll puff a sparkle, heathen!
I don't get why they're always so tentative to use Wonder Woman in... anything really.
I also don't understand why they're not planning a Booster Gold film either. Bloody heathens.

Guardians of the Galaxy are getting their own movie. (This August for those of you playing at home.)
If DC has the balls that Marvel does, anybody could get a film. I'm still holding out for The Question. The cool one, not the kung fu mystic or whatever.

They could just keep pouring out Guardians sequels if it means less Batista on that mysterious box shaped thing that hangs on a walk in my room every Monday

The idea of shazam just sounds so After school special. Seems so cheesy to be taken serious for dc realistic tone

I'm still holding out for The Question. The cool one, not the kung fu mystic or whatever. The Question would make an awesome movie. Oddly, a bunch of people would probably think he's a rip-off or Rorschach from The Watchmen (when in fact Rorshach is a rip-off of The Question). My reasoning for thinking that Shazam is a likely flop is that when you start getting into the details of the character, there's a lot of silliness involved. With Man of Steel, DC pretty much declared that the direction they want to go is fairly gritty (which itself was a poor decision). I don't see that working with having a teenager running around screaming magic words to summon a lightning bolt that transforms him into a hoodie-wearing Superman rip-off.

Just for the sake of clarification how was making Supes grittier a bad idea

I've said this before but I'll say it again:
Man of Steel was an excellent film despite some pants-on-head stupid decisions.
(He was in prime position for a sleeper hold, darnit!)
