Thinking: It's bad for you Believing that philosophy = thinking for yourself. Fail.

Thinking: It's bad for you Believing that philosophy = thinking for yourself. Fail. I didn't say anything about philosophy. I was directly referencing the part that says "Doubting is a gateway to thinking. Stop it before it starts."

So on my cable system, sometimes when there's an ad for something, a little pop-up appears on the bottom that I can click with my remote and it gives me more information about whatever they're trying to sell. I wouldn't be bothered by it except that it hijacks the general remote controls, so if you don't notice the stupid thing being there and you try to change your channel or something, you accidentally end up getting more information about the Accura Holiday Leasing Event. augh!

I recommend going out on a long quest through the Amazon in search of the magical sledgehammer crafted by a civilization from long ago, and then bringing it back to your home after slaying the great flying lizard of Africa. Then when you reach your home after your long quest bash your TV into a thousand tiny little pieces while yelling like Arnold Schwarzenegger. I assure you, this will solve all of your problems. Also... HELL YEAH I SPELLED ARNIE'S LAST NAME RIGHT ON THE FIRST TRY WITHOUT HAVING TO GOOGLE IT! HELL YEAH!!!!

...Just watched the mid-season finale or whatever of the Walking Dead...
SPOILERS
Man, I hate the Governor. Such an idiotic character. The Walking Dead is a show about people with realistic, understandable, and relatable personalities and behaviors. Then comes the Governor, practically twirling his his moustache laughing evilly. Not to mention that the entirety of his second group must be the most brain-dead group of human sheep I've seen in the show. "HURR DUUR. BOT OF AR LEADERZ DIED WILE TEY WERE WIT YOU, BUT SHUR, U KAN B AR LEDER." Not only is he a horribly unrealistic and unrelatable character, but he's also stupidly predictable. I knew he was going to kill the group's leaders. I knew he was going to invade Rick's group. I knew he was going to kill Hershel.
*Sigh*
Rant over.

I'm going to go ahead and guess that you know NOTHING about psychopaths, because the Governor is a textbook malignant narcissist. Not only is he "realistic"... there are many thousands of people like him in the real world. Chances are you personally know someone with a borderline personality disorder who, given the right circumstances, could easily become The Governor.

No, unfortunately, I don't know forms of insanity all that well, but that still doesn't explain why the group he's leading are all complete idiots, or why Robert Kirkman or whoever thought it would be a good idea to make such a predictable character.

People follow psychopaths all the time. They tend to be charismatic and compelling.

I say it here because the Random Thread got locked and unless you locked this thread on your own forum then that'd be weird.
Meh I don't get a lot of things these days
