Per a report in early 2013, Randy Orton's 2nd Finisher "The Punt Kick" has been banned from usage in the WWE for "Concussion Awareness". Orton used this move last night to finish of The Big Show at the end of their WWE Title Match. Since the report of the ban, Orton has teased executing the banned move by going to the corner & measuring up his opponent, but was always stopped somehow. The only other time in 2013 besides last night at Survivor Series this move has been used was at this year's Extreme Rules.
What do you guys think of this? Should Orton be fined for using the "banned" move? Will this be an angle for tonight's RAW?

I'd say he had permission to use that move, I mean come one HHH and Stephanie were right the next to the ring

I agree with you, the following is a separate argument NOT aimed towards you in any way. It's still kind of bullshit, though, because it IS banned, it would be like Jerry Lawler saying "With the new History of WWE DVD, you can relive all of your favorite WWF moments with the greatest WWF Superstars" with Vince as a guest on commentary. Everyone would make a big deal out of that, but no one cares about this.

*sigh*
The punt kick was never "banned" so the entire basis for the argument is pure failure wrapped up on a casing of crap.

They made an exception for HHH to use it on Undertaker in their (first?) Wrestlemania match, but other than that, you won't see a piledriver in WWE anymore. They're pretty adamant about that rule, so I'm sometimes surprised that piledrivers are still in the video games.

WWE's usually strict about certain rules, and that seems like it would be one of those rules.

It's one of those rules that doesn't really need to be applied to the video games though, The move being the game I'd imagine isn't really any concern to WWE
