How is Martian Manhunter a "bitch" exactly? Before you go on a rant(which I know you're ready to do) I said he was in the cartoon and movies. Every time he would fight he would was usually the first one to be knock out and in some cases by a single attack. I have no knowledge of the character beyond what I saw in the cartoons. *okay go ahead and rant* Your statement is BS. MM was NEVER the first guy to get knocked out, and certainly not by the first attack, unless said attack was fire... and I think that came up all of two or three times in the entire JL run. |

Uh huh. And you're basing that on what? Specifically I mean. Martian Manhunter is one of the most wise and far-thinking characters in the DC Universe. So if by "bitch" you mean "a guy who is unlikely to use punching as his first, last, and only option in a fight" then yes. Batman is a bitch. His entire motivation for being a (supposed) hero is that his parents were killed and he can't accept that he can't control everything around him, so he covers his pathetic infantile god complex with bat-themed gimmicks and runs around punching bad guys in the face. Batman is a narcissistic, self-absorbed lunatic stuck at an emotional age of 14, unfortunately gifted with enough intelligence to make his otherwise laughably frail psychology really dangerous. Martian Manhunter is someone who experienced a much more far reaching tragedy; the extinction of his entire race, and yet handles it with a far greater sense of acceptance and calm. He also rivals Superman in sheer physical power, but rarely feels the need to use it because he's clever enough to find other ways. His intellect is clearly far greater than that of the Batman, and it's not warped by distrust. So, yeah, sure, I guess he's a "bitch" if, you know, you hate well-rounded, intelligent, emotionally stable characters. I hate that $#@! too. But that's not what I mean. What I mean is he seemed like the weakness member in the League but from what I'm hearing tonight he is actually one of the best if not the best. Like Rush said he was used as a jobber in the toon( which is my only knowledge of the character) ... except that he wasn't. I have no idea what cartoon you guys watched, but MM was a bad mother$#@!er on the old JLA and JLU cartoons, and is either absent or pretty freakin' scary in most of the movies they've ever made as well. |

He was pretty damn badass to me. He was interesting but every time there was a fight he would get his ass kicked. I was really interested in seeing the history of Mars but him barely being around and when he was was usually taking a beating killed it for me. I only know Martian Manhunter from the Justice League cartoons, and I love him. He was pretty damn badass to me. He was interesting but every time there was a fight he would get his ass kicked. I was really interested in seeing the history of Mars but him barely being around and when he was was usually taking a beating killed it for me.
