Hey I just noticed that your signature is sensibly small. Was it always like that or did you resize it? Because if you didn't then that means it was randomly becoming huge from time to time just like mine was.

Hey it happens, several people have tried to impersonate me in the past. My bigger issue though is the sheer irritation that comes from suddenly not knowing who the hell I'm talking to. People on the THQ site used to occasionally change their names and avatars just for the hell of it and then play silly games like "I'll give you three clues to guess who I am" or just get offended if I didn't know who they were.
I won't campaign for the feature to be removed but I'd be lying if I said that I wouldn't be happier if people were required to stick with the name they actually chose for themselves.

I did like how that was on the Sports Forum. You were who you were permanently. Now there are no consequences for choosing a bad username... |

I just don't like how much it ruins credibility and trust. It's just a website, I don't expect forum members to watch my back as I head into battle in the Middle East, but in order for there to be any real sense of coherence and understanding between everybody there's at least a small expectation of some consistency and familiarity.
I remember when someone on the THQ forums renamed (and / or deleted and remade) their account a multitude of times and it just wound up pissing everybody off. That's obviously not what you're doing but it's the kind of thing that can happen when someone abuses the freedom of changing their online persona.
