It's hard to have lot of roles when you are a star in a series for many, many years. You are not exactly inexperienced in the industry if you've been around for 6 years as a star of a global tv show. It isn't as if you have had a lot of roles and you just have one line in each. I was meaning it's difficult to judge someone when they've had such little roles. EG: Will Smith was a comedy actor in Fresh Prince, It'd have been extremely difficult to judge how he'd do in a Drama or Action role at that point in his career. You see what i mean? Nope, as he'd already starred in Bad Boys by then.

I see that you're attempting to call "Independence Day" a drama, which is ridiculous, as is the fact that you somehow ignored that he had dramatic roles in Made In America AND Six Degrees of Separation... Well considering I didn't call Independence Day a drama i have no idea what you're talking about with that. I said that Will Smith was a comedy actor during his time in Fresh Prince and it'd have been difficult to judge him in a Drama or Action role at that point. I never specified which point in his career. His first ever movie was a Drama movie, In '92 for the 2 years before that where he'd only been in comedy stuff, Then ('90-'92) it'd have been difficult to judge how he'd do in a Drama or Action role....

You backpeddal well, but that's not what you were referencing, and we both know it. His first movie role was drama, yes, but was fairly minor and was after 2 years of doing a TV series that, while clearly a sitcom, had always been willing to touch on the dramatic.

I wasn't referencing anything specifically. Just wasn't wording correctly. Yes he had always been willing to touch on the dramatic, Such as Uncle Phil and his heart attack, But acting small instances of drama is entirely different compared to acting an entire movie in a dramatic role. edit: anything specifically not "nothing specifically" lol
