Heh... I always wondered what the vibrator things looked like inside 8) The only controller I ever broke open was a Genesis controller, and that was over someone's head... and I couldn't stick around to see what the innards looked like. I've broke several controllers, Most have been minor though, Like a crack in the controller or something like that. Controllers? Ooh, you don't want to know how many controllers I've broken. Mike's stress test reveals that NES and Genesis controllers were the sturdiest. Nintendo 64, Playstation and 360? Much, much less so.

I've actually never broken a game (unintentionally) other than that one, and although I can't remember any, I suspect it had to have had some previous damage to break like that, because it split perfectly on the seam that ran around the cartridge. It didn't come completely apart, either... you could see inside though LOL
I have no idea why I thought I'd like SuperMario 64. Just watching other people play it should have told me that it was not up my alley.

I have just recently gotten my 5th one. Also note, I do not smash my controllers whatsoever, they just happen to wear out incredibly fast.

I've had crap luck with 360 controllers wearing out as well. I've had a 360 since launch and I've gone through like.. 4 controllers (not counting the one that was stolen). It's not as if they're cheap, either. If I wasn't planning on upgrading to the Next Gen early in the new year, I'd be looking at buying another one, too, because the bumper on my current "main" controller is going 8(
In that case though, it's possible that, though I haven't seen it, the problem is abuse on the controllers from my sons. I'm having a devil of a time convincing my 10 year old to stop putting the thumbsticks in his mouth (he chews the $#@!ing rubber off, it drives me nuts)

Controllers? I've had the same two PS2 controllers since I was 8. I'm Jesus when it comes to keeping electronics in good condition

Either they last forever or I ultimately break them myself. It's not even just blind rage that ruins them, they're made like delicate little infants these days. All I have to do is remain seated and simply toss one down with gusto and the fucking shoulder buttons get sunk or the thumbsticks get jammed in place. Why, in my day I could grab the cord of a NES controller and whip that thing against concrete like a mace and I'd be lucky if part of the plastic broke off. Never raged against Mario 64, never played it enough to have any feelings about it at all, really. Which is odd considering I used to be a pretty hardcore Mario fan.

To this day, one of my all time favorite games. Just so friggin' amazing. I for some reason despite being able to clearly see that 64 was nothing like World hoped against hope that they'd captured some of that... and they captured none of it, whatsoever.

A dude took a drill and tried to drill a hole through the phone. Phone still worked with a hole drilled halfway through it(The drill wouldn't go any farther in). Also the NVIDIA Shield is pretty indestructible too...

Ah, Super Mario World. An all-time classic that sold many a Super NES, including mine (though 50% of that particular Christmas gift was motivated by my desire to have Sim City). I don't know if it's the three-dimensional emphasis, the obnoxious voice acting or what but I just didn't really care about Mario 64. It's supposed to be one of the best games ever made and I've only spent like two hours on it combined.

But yeah, if you are gonna destroy a console, at least do it in style like this guy.

Mm I've seen some and similar. Ive seen debates on how Star wars is now owned by the fans and they should have say on what goes on in the universe. Which is a stupid thought process but ok.

"we own it!" "Oh, so you paid Lucas a few billion dollars for his extremely valuable intellectual property?" "Well, no, but..." "Yeah, shut up now."

I certainly feel that he should stop fucking with his films (and should have stopped way back in the mid 90s whenever the discussion changed from "restoration" to "special edition") if for no other reason than Lucas himself staunchly opposes screwing with OTHER people's films, such as adding color to classic black and whites.

I understand the sentiment but it's his stuff to screw with. What I'd wish he'd do is release the originals in a bluray unaltered and then call it even. However If he wants to add a scene of Chewie and Han making out, I don't have to buy it.

Lol no, heard it was worth a snicker though. They're legally his and I don't dispute his right to alter them, I just wish he'd have the integrity to respect the overwhelming majority of his fans' wishes to leave them alone or at least continue to restore the unaltered originals with the same care that he gives his perpetually altered versions.
