Oh my gosh, shut up both of you. You both like crappy movies. Joey likes crappy movies because the critics tell him they're good, and Soon likes crappy movies because nobody else thinks they're good. Get over it.

Get over it. This is the truth. Although, I like crappy movies sometimes because they're the kind of films that are so bad they turn into amazing comedies.

Because that last Apes movie wasn't stupid enough... I really liked it, but to fair I'm a pretty big fan of about 3 /12 of the original five films as well. Man, those Thor costumes really are lame though.

And guys, back off with the fighting please. Everyone likes what they like and can talk about it however they choose. We all like good and bad movies, life goes on.

It was definitely a much better prequel than the other one was. Of course we shall not speak of that failure round here. I loved the Burton film at first, saw it in the theater several times. Then on like the fifth viewing it suddenly dawned on me that "wait, this movie is terrible". I think (actually no, I'm sure) that the novelty of a modern apes movie, the decision to actually have them move and act more like apes, and the scenery-chewing of Tom Roth made me blind to everything that the film did wrong.

At least I hope he's of enough intelligence to figure it out... Also the difference with jsimone is that he likes movies based off what critics say about them, instead of forming his own opinion. Of course in his mind he thinks it is his own opinion, because that's how his mind works. It's really quite interesting watching the way brainwashed people act...

I'm ashamed of living on a planet where people liked that awful Planet of the Apes movie. The Mark Wahlberg one was far less ridiculous.

This is what I'm talking about, the backhanded insults and sniping digs that some of you guys have been throwing at each other. If each of your opinions bug each other that much you should just stop paying attention to them, it's silly to be bickering so much over taste in movies.

Yeah just kidding.

I'm ashamed of living on a planet where people liked that awful Planet of the Apes movie. The Mark Wahlberg one was far less ridiculous. The Burton film was LESS ridiculous? The new one delivers the premise in a somber serious fashion so I suppose it could be harder to swallow but that's in keeping with the style of the original films. The Burton movie was basically a silly, extended chase sequence.

Get over it. I can appreciate fantastic acting. Critics have no hold over what I enjoy So you base the quality of movies solely on acting? What about the actual story? No wonder you like so many crappy movies, you like the actors that get stuck in them. Why didn't you just say so? You could have avoided all my insults had you just said that(Highly unlikely mind you, I insult people just because).

The Burton movie was basically a silly, extended chase sequence. You... you think that the original movies were somber and serious? I mean, like, when you envision Heston shouting "get your paws off of me" you don't think that was intentionally over the top and silly? To say nothing of the ending? I'm sorry but that Franco piece of crap was unforgivable.
