The best thing about the first Amazing spider-Man was that it didn't have Tobey McGuire.

What was so awful about the first Amazing Spider Man movie? I liked it too, but having to go through an origin again was a little much.

That's what reboots do ethan.
Rebooting it was a little early though, considering the Macguire ones only ended like 4 years ago or something.
I assumed it'd be part of the marvel crossover strategy so I was surprised to see Colombia publishing it.

I liked the first one, but this one has a number of problems. The kid playing Harry Osborne is terrible, Rhino is a $#@!ing mech, there are too many villains all-around, it looks way too special effects-heavy... it looks to be a train wreck in the making like Spider-Man 3 was

Shouldn't this and the Superman VS Batman thread be in the movies section?
True the source materiel for these movies are from comics, but we're not talking about the comics are we, we're talking about the movies.
Just a thought.

The best thing about the first Amazing spider-Man was that it didn't have Tobey McGuire. This is true LOL Actually it was right on time. If they hadn't released a movie when they did, the license would have reverted to Marvel, and Sony couldn't allow that. Both the X-Men and Spider-Man licenses are held by other parties, and both deals require them to put movies out every few years to avoid losing the license back to Marvel. Marvel (or rather Disney) of course is salivating at getting either of those key franchises back under their tent, because the Marvel Movie Universe could benefit enormously from being able to expand in those directions.

I want f4 to revert back to marvel so bad, if marvel did get x men back they should keep it in its own universe apart from the avengers universe. It just wouldn't make sense in the avengers universe

I really hope Spidey comes back to the Marvel franchise soon. He's being wasted in these awful movies.

I want a movie with Carnage.
Anyways, I like the Ultimate Universe, which is what these movies, and a lot of the marvel movies, have in at least some aspect. I like that Rhino's a mech and I like that Electro's not in green and yellow clothes.
I do however dislike Green Goblin. I preferred the mech one over this one.

Watched the full trailer...
So what's with all the cheesy awful one liners? Why is the corporate business guy an emo? Why does Electro look like his face got hit by a train? Why does the movie have more CGI than Catwoman?

So you haven't criticized the movie about these things? No those were actual criticisms I had about the movie, they were just more so comedic. The other two things are what really bother me.
