This is random, but I want movies on the 2099 universe..... Given that even Marvel doesn't (and shouldn't) care about the 2099 Universe anymore, I don't see that happening. Most of those comics were terrible anyway (Ghost Rider and X-Men 2099 were both unforgivably bad)

I wasn't defending the Ultimate 'verse, I'm not a big fan of it myself.
*Looks at Ultimatum*
But I was never a big fan of Rhino or Electro's original designs, so I don't really care there. As for emo Harry, they're probably trying to appeal to the Twilight fan girls or something.

You'll notice, I haven't complained about the way they designed Electro for this movie. I'm fine with his original costume on the page, but I'm fairly certain it wouldn't work on screen. I'm not bothered by re-designs in general... unless they're stupid. A mech just isn't in keeping with what Spider-Man is all about. The Avengers and the Fantastic Four fight giant robots in the streets of New York City. Spider-Man does not.

I like the way they designed Electro, but I still think he looks awful, if that makes sense.

Spider-Man 2099 in general. All of the 2099 sucked, I'm not going to disagree with it (or at least 98% of them did).

I never read Spider-Man 2099, with the exception of the storyline they did a few years ago where Parker got transported to the 2099 future and met Miguel O'Hara (but it was before Miguel became Spider-Man, I think), but the purpose of that storyline was to "erase" the 2099 setting, so... *shrugs* I really liked Doom 2099 and Punisher 2099. The setting had potential, but as with so many other things in comic books, the delivery was half-assed at best.

They have many universes, so they should use them. If it means one character meets the same character in another universe, I feel like that could be an opening to a whole strand of marvel movies, and stories. Another thing I'd like, a Secret Wars (Beyonder, Madame Webb, etc.) movie. A lot of people wouldn't though because they feel like "The more villains and heroes in the movie, the worse the movie will be." I disagree in some cases, and this would be one of them.

I want an Iron Fist or Black Panther movie. I would too, if they're portrayed correctly.

Those kinds of things will never make the movies because those kinds of things are too far out there. It's those kinds of storylines that keep mainstream audiences away from the comic books themselves. I personally don't have much problem with them, even though they're usually incredibly stupid, but moviegoing audiences aren't going to sit through 2 hours of Spider-Man quipping to Spider-Man.

Yes, because there's only one black superhero in the entire Marvel Universe. Doom really is a genius.
