In which I kindly reply back, once again: I don't see what your beef is with them going away from the traditional characters honestly. Well for Electro, he looks absolutely awful. He looks laced with tons of CGI and it makes him look absolutely awful. For the corporate emo... Isn't that pretty self explanatory? |

Electro is fine the way he is :rolleyes:
He fits the character in a unique way that doesn't directly connect him to a comic book, which is what I like.
I also find it ridiculous that people didn't like the first movie because they changed Spidey's outfit. That was ridiculous.

I used to think that the old timers who talked about what a shame it was that more and more moviemakers were leaving practical effects behind and using CGI were just being curmudgeonly. I wish I'd listened and fought alongside them to retain the art of movie making. It wouldn't have helped, but at least I could say I was on the right side of history.

Ultimate Rhino's a little twerp in a big mech, so I actually expected that. ... why is it a $#@!ing mech in the first place? Just about everything about "Ultimate" Spider-Man was inferior to the original, and they thoroughly destroyed everything fun and interesting about both the Green Goblin and Venom. The comic line was ultimately (no pun intended) a fairly massive failure, and the only reason the Ultimate imprint still exists is because Marvel has hopes for it becoming their version of DC's formerly successful "Earth 2" titles. The biggest failings of the first "Amazing" movie all revolved around the OsCorp/Peter's Parents element of the story (and subsequently, around Peter being an emo punk bitch), so why dive deeper into that bottomless well of failure? |
