That's the problem, the PS3 light is a vibrant florescent blue and from the pictures I've seen, a very wide light. Like an actual beam, almost. Against an LCD screen it might not be so bad but anything that reflects is going to be problematic. And I would imagine that it would be distracting to play in the dark with glowing blue hands. I am literally on the phone with a guy that owns one right now, and his complaint isn't so much reflection (again, possibly because his TV screen doesn't reflect so much), as just the general glare the thing puts off when he's playing at night.

PlayStation controllers and Xbox 360 controllers are on top for me. I'd go with Xbox over PS just because they are a little bit bulkier and fit my hands better

When it comes to best, I'm gonna say the mouse and keyboard. It's difficult and weird to get used to after many years with controllers, but I'm beginning to prefer the mouse's accuracy and the keyboard's large amount of keys/buttons. Granted, the second one is pointless if the game doesn't offer rebindable keys, but those are extremely rare these days.
As for worst, the AVGN made an episode about different versions of Pong, and nearly all of their controllers absolutely sucked.

You seem normal about it but over the years I've seen some alarmingly hardcore fanboyism coming from the PC crowd, especially with regard to the controls. Not only do many PC gamers rag on consoles players just because of their different preferences, they seem ignorantly preoccupied with alleged superiority of the mouse and keyboard. I can't tell you how many times I've seen someone ask a question on a PC forum such as "I bought an Xbox controller to use for this game but it's still trying to make me use the mouse and keyboard, how do I remap the buttons", only for some douche to pop in and say "Duh, why don't you just use the mouse and keyboard" and for another douche to say "Oh look, someone is trying to use a grown-up system but can't bear to leave his baby toys behind".
When State of Decay was released in beta form for the PC it only came with 360 controls because it was a port, mouse and keyboard support was coming later. You should have seen the game's forums, every other fucking post was some PC elitist running in circles pissing himself and whining "When is the game going to get mouse and keyboard support? When is the game going to get mouse and keyboard support? This is why I hate consoles, they ruin everything. Crappy-ass locked resolutions and dumbed-down controls completely destroying games that should have been designed for the PC in the first place".
So anyway yeah, not a huge mouse and keyboard fan myself.

That, there, is the "glorious PC gaming master race." It's a nickname the game critic Yahtzee gave to them, and it stuck. It's sarcastic, of course, but I can certainly imagine some people honestly believing it.

Ah so that's what the term refers to. I heard it and THOUGHT that's what it meant but then dismissed it as me just being cynical.
In this case then it's entirely apt- I see people brag about their thousand-dollar rigs and what resolution they're playing on and all this other dick wagging that means absolutely nothing and it's just absurd. Which is funny because I have a gaming laptop and the vast majority of my gaming over the last several years has, in fact, been on that. But I grew up a console player and unless console gaming goes the way I think it might I will always be one. There's simply no reason for a person to be THAT proud of owning a computer.

So the fact that PC exclusive games have about the same graphic quality as games that are sold on multiple consoles is also the fault of the consoles?

Mouse and keyboard $#@!ing sucks. I HATE playing games on PC. I mean, I would rather not play games at all. I have a PS2 emulator and several games that I love, but I never touch them, because playing on PC is just so much crap.

I use my PS3 controller for emulators unless I'm playing a game like GTA 3 or Vice City just because I find it easier to move with a mouse and keyboard.

The board is all set up and it looks like you might have a game... but in reality you're just going to watch something ill-suited to the purpose pretend to be good at something it's not.

That controller isn't all that bad for people. In fact I knew one person who was recommended it because they had arthritis.

The X button oddly looks like. It's about to fall of the controller the way it's in the edge.

Wait, are the buttons flipped? Why would they do that?

The Wii remote/nunchuck combo is actually pretty ridiculously comfortable. It's a shame it's cursed with the remote mechanics.
I really like, from what I own or remember, from best to worst, PS3, GameCube, Wii (despite the stupidity of it), Genesis, SNES, and XBox. I seem to recall the original XBox controller sucking.
