So halfway through 1984 I ended up flipping to the last page of the book to read the last sentence(Something I do subconsciously every time I get about halfway through a book). The ending then depressed me so much that I can't continue reading the book anymore, which sucks because I really want to...

Current books I have going (yes, multiple) are a book about the etymology of various words in the English language - which is most interesting when you are an English language buff like myself, a second read through the song of ice and fire books and the last book of the hunger games.
After which I have the companion book that Martin wrote for songs of ice and fire about the first war and Aegon with his dragons that I am going to get for my birthday.
Then I suppose I need to continue with the Discworld novels and a series my missus wants me to read by Maria Snyder.

To be fair, I haven't read it, so it might be better than the standard issue stuff of it's type. I just know that the people I personally know who read and enjoyed those books also have a laundry list of crap in their personal libraries.

I like a bit of fantasy, I can cope with a bit of feminism. What bothers me about the first one I read was the woman was supposed to be the main character, some complex person who is just trying to survive. Turns into a goddamn soppy romance novel by the last quarter and I almost stopped reading. I can't do that though because once I start reading a story, I have to see how the stupid thing ends.

Every time I see the title of this thread I get the internet meme "Do you even lift" in my head, so here's this

When I'm bored I read Dr. Seuss. That was the closest I could get to what describes me.

Not as often as I'd like. Between a 16 month old son and a wife that seems to think that just because I'm reading I'm not really doing anything important so she should talk to me while I try to do so, I have few windows of opportunity to do so. I probably read a book a month or so depending on the time I find to do so. I get most of my reading done in small bursts lately on the web. News, movie reviews, that sort of thing.
