"Open World" is a pretty broad term.

I enjoyed LA Noir for what it was. I thought it was a fun game. Nothing that will standout in the history of gaming.

"Open World" is a pretty broad term. LA Noir becomes open world after completion of the game (I think, I've never played it) though for the entire game you are forced to play the missions you can't simply go and do a mission whenever you feel like you can In all other Open World games.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a bitter person who knows that there's a time and a place for anger and belligerence. This just isn't one of them. That was more so a compliment to you I am a huge Lennon fan. Oh I know, I took it as such. The idea of an open-world 1940s detective game sounded compelling to me, but I've learned not to rush into hype. The reaction to the game seemed to generally be one of disappointment, though I wonder if the game was truly bad or if people just lashed out at it because it wasn't what they themselves had worked themselves into thinking it would be. I dunno, I guess I can always just play Deja Vu again. Not forgetting it's not actually "Open World", Well not as open worlded (not a word i know) as GTA and Red Dead Redemption, Despite it being listed as Open World I know that too, that's one of the reasons why my initial interest waned a bit.

Another reason for me to hate Sephiroth.

E.T. sold half a million more copies than Space Invaders. The original Deus Ex did not feature the twin towers, they explained their absence as there having been a terrorist attack on the towers beforehand causing them to be destroyed. Deus Ex came out almost a year before the attacks.

I hope Fallout 4 is more like 3. I hated New Vegas and the originals...
Also the Fallout 3 president was awesome. Best character in the entire game...

E.T. sold half a million more copies than Space Invaders. E.T. was a notorious bomb that stagnated on shelves, cluttered the bargain bins and played a large part in causing the crash of the entire industry in 1983. The reason why it's so famous, aside from its terrible quality, is because countless copies were returned or went unpurchased in the first place. There were more copies of the game printed than there were Atari owners to buy them. While I'd easily believe that more copies of the game were shipped than Space Invaders (itself one of the best-selling games of all time), I'm reluctant to believe that more were actually sold.

Space Invaders sold a million copies. E.T. sold 1 and a half million.
