Holy crap, that dude was 38? It's amazing that he was able to compete at that level at his age. he's been pretty healthy his entire career, and he left Chute Box (notorious for less than intelligent training methods) along with NOT relying on weight training and relying on using technique over brute force extended his career. maybe his age caught up with him, maybe Weidman has him dialed in or perhaps a freak happenstance. his name will forever be listed as one of the all time greats.

A muta do you think ronda is deliberately ducking cyborg. Calling her out knowing she can't make that weight and dropping from cyborgs weight class when she became the number one contender ?

Calling her out knowing she can't make that weight and dropping from cyborgs weight class when she became the number one contender ? cyborg doesn't fight for the ufc, and cyborg has tito as a manager. that with having bull testosterone rammed up her ass for 30 years i don't see her coming to the ufc any time soon. i'd rather see her fight Gina Cerrano,

Her proportions are freakish, particularly her facial features. Does UFC ban HGH?

Does UFC ban HGH? yes they do, and if you have a history of giving dirty samples, not only are you tested more..your opponent is. i see trt being outlawed also very soon. cyborg has tested dirty more than once. EDIT: the UFC is regulated by athletic commissions.

I know the UFC is regulated, but some people argue that HGH isn't or shouldn't be considered an illegal substance, since in theory all it does is trigger the bodies natural capabilities... though I think that argument actually applies to several, if not most, PEDs

Joe Rogan of all people asked the question on his podcast "If these things makes us bigger, stronger and faster, are they really so terrible? Wouldn't we say they are good? I don't know. Smarter men that me say yes and no". this quote was in reference to Roger Clemons being better at his craft at 40 than he was at 30.

As much as I want to get into MMA I have a hard time getting into it. Maybe it's the lack of story or something I don't know.

As much as I want to get into MMA I have a hard time getting into it. Maybe it's the lack of story or something I don't know. there is a story...this guy is fighting that guy to see if later on in there career they can get a fight with a more notable guy. then the fight itself is a story, can this wrestler get the striker to the ground? can this striker keep the fight standing? can this jiu jitsu player set the trap for his opponent to get the submission? this grappler has been working hard on his kickboxing, will we see it put to work in this fight or is he still tentative on his feet? plenty of stories to be told and even more interesting to see how they play themselves out..

There's no story to MMA 8)
I mean, you can try to pretend it's all dramatic if you want, but it's not. If you enjoy two dudes hugging for a while, good on ya. I enjoy boxing but I don't try to pretend it's the land of great story telling.

Never was a fan of watching two dudes legitimately kick the snot out of each other. I'll keep my violent entertainment fake, thank you very much.

there is mechanics to those two guys "hugging", as you so ignorantly put it. you and all the "fans" who boo when the fight goes to the ground. ground fighting is much more a technical struggle than the striking aspect of MMA.

Ignorant? Son, I put in my hours. I was the first guy to win the MetWin Tourney in both of the two highest weight classes, and one of 6 or so guys to win my weight class 3 times consecutively. I know the mechanics of mixed martial arts. It's boring as snot to watch. Get over it.

sure thing Marcelo whatever you say.. No idea who Marcelo is, but it's hilarious that you think that everyone who understands something is automatically going to enjoy watching it.

While we're on the subject; the ground game isn't technical. It's all muscle memory and physical prowess.

While we're on the subject; the ground game isn't technical. It's all muscle memory and physical prowess. of course it's technical. the guy on the bottom in open guard control the top guy's wrist, you can bet the legs are going up to attempt a triangle. using the free leg to try and pry apart a lock down is technical. if you don't recognize that then i will assume you don't know what you're looking at. and, since when did any physical activity not have a degree of "muscle memory or physical prowess"?

You do realize you're arguing about MMA against a guy who actually fought in MMA, right?
