Autism spectrum conditions are Neurodevelopmental, which means that they stem from an impairment in the development of the brain and/or nervous system. Instead of getting offended by someone using a term that you don't prefer, perhaps you should consider trying to understand that the term "mental problem" isn't always intended as an insult (and conversely, "learning disability" is frequently used as one) |
