I'm over steampunk already. In fact I was over it right around the time people started to figure out what it was.

Yeah I don't know any of that stuff either (though a good friend of mine, Rachel, is going to be in an awesome Steampunk movie called Engines of Destiny if it ever comes out)... I've been a fan of the various "punk" genres ever since I discovered CyberPunk in like... 1988(?) CyberPunk, Gothic Punk (my favorite), SteamPunk, etc. But by the time I really became aware that steampunk was a thing, it was already so much of a thing that I just wanted to punch every moron in a pair of smoked lenses.

My friend just showed me this on facebook: *Jaw Hits floor talk about balls.......... I hesitated once when clicking on a video that I knew might have been about balls, then hesitated a second time when I saw some of the images on the side of the video. I don't know if I should go through with this one. Flashblock might just have saved me tonight.

My friend just showed me this on facebook: *Jaw Hits floor talk about balls.......... ... that's not balls, that's infantile. "You didn't like my thing, so I'm going to lash out just like I did to the kid who didn't like my macaroni collage in kindergarten!" *eyeroll* Here's a thought you worthless femme, if you can't take criticism, keep your "art" to yourself. Oh, and nice job being a stereotypical histrionic woman. Keep it up, you'll set your gender back a couple of decades before you're done.

I can understand that. My introduction came in '96 with The City of Lost Children, a really nifty French film (the only one that probably exists). Since then I've seen steampunk slowly become more widely known and I can't help staring with appreciation at all the crazy outfits that these people come up with. I love the concept of steampunk, even if only as a concept and nothing more.

Don't worry Mike it's not porn........
it's some singer who apparently weeks earlier got POed at the press for only covering her "wardrobe malfunction" and not her performance......
a few weeks later she as a statement.........stripped on stage
that girl has brass ones..........I could barely hum a tune in front of a crowd, let alone do that......

This is a (tongue in cheek) video they made for the character Rachel is playing in her movie.

...Based off Wild's reaction, I assumed it was just a musician lashing out against her critics, and just that.

singing in front of crowd is nerve-racking enough......
stripping naked in front of a crowd is just plain horrifying..........

Don't worry Mike it's not porn........ No, if it had been then I probably wouldn't have hesitated in the first place. Actually I think I read about this situation, it came across to me as more of a publicity stunt than some kind of artistic statement (though I get the point that she was allegedly trying to make, I guess).
