I think he's being selfish. I also don't have a problem with that. Nobody is setting themselves aside to look out for his best interest. He doesn't owe anybody anything. If he is in violation of his contract Vince can choose if he wants to seek litigation. Good for Punk if he wants to do what he feels is best for Punk. 95% of the decision I make are about what's best for me/my family. It'll be a shame to lose one of the few reasons I like to tune in. I would argue that one of the biggest problems with wrestling today and in any era is that too many people share your opinion that their only responsibility is to themselves. ... actually, I would argue that it's a microcosm of what's wrong with the world at large.

I think it's sad that one of their top prizes (even if some think he's overrated, I don't think this can be argued with, but I'm sure somebody will say otherwise) feels the need to quit early. Then again, Punk can be a prick, lol. EVERYONE can be a Prick

You guys are hell bent on giving this overgrown child excuses for his behavior. It's really disappointing.

Cm Punk is a prick though. Anyways, I take back some of what I've said.... Cm Punk is being selfish, but not for any bad reasons. I should've reworded that...... So, yes, I agree he's being selfish, but in this case I don't see anything wrong with it.

I am starting to hate CM Punk.... thought I would never say that.... I haven't really changed my view of him, because I was aware of what he was like back in the indies. Punk is a fantastic worker with a crap attitude, and always has been.

You guys are hell bent on giving this overgrown child excuses for his behavior. It's really disappointing. I personally think he was doing what's best for him and is forcefully taking time off to prevent from becoming seriously injured. But, Yeah it's selfish and he could've given enough notice to WWE for them to write him out of the story, So while I do understand his reasoning, I don't condone his actions.

I personally think he was doing what's best for him and is forcefully taking time off to prevent from becoming seriously injured. No he's not. If that were the case, he would have done this months ago. He walked out because he didn't get a Mania main event. Plain and simple.

There is probably multiple reasons, As I posted earlier, Punk said himself that he is unhappy with his work and has resorted to using 2 moves a match, He also said he wants D-Bry to main-event Mania and is Pissed that Dave got the position over D-Bry. Though yeah, You are right as well.

I really haven't noticed Punk using two moves a match, I must be paying even less attention than I thought LOL
Interestingly, I HAVE noticed that Bryan is using far fewer moves. His matches lately have been incredibly mediocre.

Vince should show him and Just Hire a different guy to be Punk like he did Diesel and Razor Ramone.

You are just now saying what Bane and myself were saying 3 months ago.

WWE pretty much said "Hey you have a beard, go work with the other beard guys" I suspect he did it because it's easier to get Over with WWE fans if you have an un-challenging moveset that doesn't require them actually pay attention to any one thing for more than 10 seconds at a time, but either way, I understand why he's changed... I'm just thoroughly disappointed because having an actual technical wrestler in the WWE was nice for a while (and I do believe he could have gotten Over with his old style, it simply would have taken longer)

But again for "selfish" reasons, Vince would rather push a guy he can market the hell out of. Daniel Bryon sells shirts to Smarks. Batista sells shirts, posters, action figures, pillow buddies, ETC to everyone.
