Punk quits WWE (Rumor)

 According to bleacher report. Punk walked out Monday and has been removed from a string of live events

This doesn't seem like a work and it does seem very selfish on Pumk's part If it's true to have the company potentially have to alter Mania plans so suddenly. Still hoping it's a work.

I don't find it to be selfish. If you're not enjoying your workplace, I don't think you should stay there another minute.

Though I disagree with a lot of what he does, this isn't one of those things (if it's even true).

Thats a good point but everybody has moments they don't like their job but be professional and do it anyway. Of course this doesn't really apply to the world of entertainment  as your already well off and can quit whenever your not enjoying your job. But I atleast think in the spot that he was in he should've at least stuck around until Mania

UPDATE:

As noted, CM Punk has been removed from WWE events going forward after reportedly informing Vince McMahon at Monday's RAW that he was going home. Punk reportedly told Vince and other WWE officials this in a meeting before the show went on the air.



While Punk vs. Triple H was planned for WrestleMania XXX, word now is that Triple H will be facing Daniel Bryan in New Orleans this April.



While Punk is under contract through July, he is no longer factored into company plans. According to one source, the original script for Monday's RAW had Punk losing to Antonio Cesaro after Kane interfered, allowing Cesaro to qualify for the Elimination Chamber. Another source denies that and says Punk was never scheduled to wrestle Monday night and was only scheduled for an in-ring promo at Kane. Punk was not backstage during RAW and was not at SmackDown last night. It's believed that the late RAW re-write at 6pm on Monday was because Punk had just informed officials he was going home and wouldn't be back.



Punk leaving is being described as a situation where he's unhappy and burnt out with the overall direction of the company. There's also a feeling among wrestlers that Punk has saved his money and just doesn't need it any more, even the big WrestleMania payday that was coming up.



Following the Royal Rumble on Sunday, Punk's mood was described as "pissy" but that's not an unusual description of Punk's demeanor backstage. One source believed that since Punk's last goal was to work a WrestleMania main event, it may be a situation where he realized it wasn't going to happen this year and with his WWE deal expiring in July, that may have weighed down upon him because he was so goal driven and this was one he couldn't accomplish because of elements that were outside of his control.



Punk wrote the following on Twitter Monday:

But yes, Punk is being selfish. When you've got a contract, you fulfill your contract. It's utterly ridiculous for anyone to believe that they're going to enjoy every moment of their work, no matter what career they have. It's called a work ethic for a reason.

... that said, this is nothing new. Punk has always been selfish, and he's obviously not been interested in being in the WWE for quite some time now anyway. Sorry, but I feel as if we're better off without him. Maybe he'll get the spark back and return. Maybe not. Either way, the WWE goes on.

I wanted to bring up Batista when Bane said Punk wasn't being selfish. Knight basically  summed it up. But the only reason some of us don't disagree with the decision is because he was a good worker.

Being selfish probably relates to a lot... A LOT of the wrestlers over the years.

I think it's fine for him to walk out. May be a bit selfish, but when you have not been in a major storyline since WM29, I can understand how he got pissed off. He's also tired of traveling, etc. Of course there was that planned match with HHH, but that has been scrapped & will probably be turned into HHH Vs. Bryan.

But most weren't selfish enough to walk out when they were still getting a good reaction and being pretty heavily featured.

Two huge ego's not happy with the plans WWE had in place for them walking out at RAW.

Pretty much the exact same situation.

He's said many times that if he could go back he'd not change a thing except the aftermath beer sharing with Vince, Instead he'd stun Vince

A 3RD UPDATE:

Prowrestling.net reports that CM Punk seemed very disinterested in the current WWE product at his Wizard World Q&A session in Portland this past Friday during Royal Rumble weekend. Punk was very upset about Batista getting the WrestleMania XXX main event. He said he is friends with Batista but he wanted to be honest and it was Daniel Bryan's year.



Punk made the comment, "I show up. Someone tells me what to do and I just go out do it and leave." He also implied his recent work was not good and that he was down to using two moves a match. Punk reportedly came off despondent and unhappy with WWE.

In all honesty I'm pretty sure I'm wrong in saying that.

I can't 100% remember if he said he'd have stunned Vince after the match OR Just taken Vince out of the situation completely.

So basically It'd have just been him getting a chair and beating the crap out The Rock with it & Vince wouldn't have made any appearance in the match at all.

Lol It's been a while since I heard what he'd have changed.
