Yeah but fans have such a "right now" need that most are unwilling to sit back and watch storylines unfold.
The attention span of the fans is much lower than in the past when you could tell a story over a years time. So WWE doesn't deliver long or noteworthy storylines and it's the fan's fault? Yes. In large part. WWE is giving the fans what they ask for.

If that's true then you and everyone else who continues to watch the show are to blame.

Daniel Bryan seems popular.

If that's true then you and everyone else who continues to watch the show are to blame. In a way, yes. I would put it this way; the WWE properly understands the broad strokes of what the fans at large want (which, btw, doesn't include most of the members of this board, for some reason... maybe we're just more discerning here), it just doesn't properly understand how to deliver. Also; I think fans think they want certain things, but really don't, which is why; Brodus Clay, Ryback, & Batista. The fans loved them in theory, and then they became a thing.

Really if nothing changes I think I'm done with WWE altogether until Wrestlemania is over. I was planning on watching Raw this Monday but meh, maybe not.

I'd love to say that I'm going to make this principled stand and stop watching, but it would be a lie, so I won't. I watch wrestling with my kid and as stupid as it may be right now, I honestly don't see it as any worse (honestly, not even as bad...) as some of the stuff I stuck it out for. I sat through the entire Attitude Era and, sorry guys, I'll take little guy in a bull suit over multiple extended DX promos that are nothing but references to their asses and dick jokes every single episode. There are some deficiencies right now, but there always have been and there always will be.
That said... the stretch from here to Mania is going to be rough for me LOL

ugh DX. I've always hated DX promos. I'm with ya there.
Anyway, yea I could come back to Raw before mania, I guess I'll take it one week at a time, but as it stands I'm done until after Mania.

Good luck to ya though Knight. I hope it's not as rough as it looks like it's going to be.

I didn't mind some of the stuff the DX Army did. The WCW invasion and the parody of the Nation are standout moments for me... but the HHH & HBK version... it was like watching a couple of frat boys every week, and all it ever did was irritate the crap out of me.

Well the circa 2009 DX is all that I'm familiar with really. I wasn't around for the first DX run. That 2009 DX was part of the reason I boycotted the WWE for 6 months around that time, that along with the guest hosts and Hornswoggle.

The two man version of DX, despite having a pair of great performers and some fun catch phrases, is really not all that great in terms of what they bring to the table. The later version, that you were exposed to, traded dick jokes for jokes about being old and a bunch of jokey product placement. Not much of an improvement (though I do enjoy seeing people parody themselves)

I hate how dx is looked as a legendary tag team They have to be. They were marketing juggernauts and hugely successful. How many factions can say that they controlled all of the gold in WWE at one point? You don't have to like them, but you can't deny that in terms of the wrestling world, they're probably the third most prominent faction of all time after the 4 Horsemen and the nWo.

I admire the dedication of my fellow fans to stick it out and continue to hope that their favorite "sport" will get good again, I just don't really understand it and certainly can't agree with it. I know that it's good to be optimistic and have hope and not want to be a "fair weather fan"- to keep with the product even during one of its worst periods and patiently await the time that your faith in it will be rewarded. But there comes a time when one has to say enough is enough and realize that if they simply aren't having fun doing something- even get irritated or upset when doing it- then for the sake of their own enjoyment and productivity they have to turn around and walk away. I'm only going to play a terrible video game for so long before I turn it off and take a walk outside; I'm only going to keep eating at the same crappy restaurant before I stay home and throw something in the microwave instead. If something occasionally sucks but still has moments of greatness I might stick it out for a while but I'm still going to grow impatient. If something simply CONTINUES to suck with no end in sight for years, I'm just going to move on and stop wasting my time. I have plenty of better things to do that I actually enjoy.
That anyone continues to keep giving the WWE chances is their own prerogative, it's a subjective level of tolerance and it's true that this is far from the first time that the company has offered a shitty product. But in my opinion it's gotten SO shitty, and stayed there for SO, so long, that I honestly don't understand what compels anyone to keep tuning in, what reason they have to think that things will not just dramatically improve but actually STAY that way. I just often find myself wondering what it's going to take for everyone else, wondering when the excuses and chances will be exhausted and what will finally provoke a decision of "this isn't fun anymore".

I would rather watch the current product any day of the week.. except that $#@!ing Brock Lesnar is $#@!ing back to suck at everything all over again. It's not about how long my tolerance lasts... it's that I don't agree with your general assessment. WWE has been much, much worse than this in the past. You may hate seeing The Muppets on wrestling, but probably no more than I hate hearing Kaientai threaten to "choppy choppy your peepee" to Val Venis 8)

The reason I watch is I feel like if I don't watch than WWE Will see it as "well fans don't care for Bryan, Punk, Uses, Shield, or of the other guys so let's continue with the Cena push"
I know it's irrational to think that way.
Sn- I mean Usos stupid tablet put Uses
