I'm trying to watch BB, but shit keeps coming up. I started watching a month ago and I'm only midway through season 2. Season 4 is my favorite one, with its finale being my favorite episode. Once you start that, I guarantee you'll wanna binge it like nothing.

So, volume 3 of Heroes was pretty solid, in my opinion. Volume 4 is looking to follow suit so far. If only volume 2 was good.

Always Sunny is not a comedy. Comedies are funny. Nothing with Danny Devito is funny.

I can't help but find the shit he does the size he is and the way he looks to be comedy gold. There was a really simple part in Always Sunny where he was eating sausages out of his shirt pocket and one of the other characters was scrolling on his phone, and all he said was, 'What are you doing on the phone? Lemme see the phone.' and I was hysterical. His look and his line delivery makes for some funny moments, man.

You're delusional, Bane. Maybe, I don't remember how the volumes translate to seasons.
Someday I'll watch the shows all the cool kids are watching. And on that day, the successors to Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and Arrow will be all the rage, and I'll be stuck in the past. Then I'll look at my strikingly gorgeous face in the mirror and ask the question: Is there any point to the games man plays? No. Never. Not unless you're playing with them.

I just came to laugh that you put Arrow in the same list as Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones as if it's in any way close to their caliber.

TV shows don't necessarily have to be excellent works of art so long as it's a recurring subject of the mass majority.

If I'm comprehending what you said, I don't just want something consistent, I want something that starts great and grows to be more and more incredible as the show progresses. Breaking Bad, The Wire, Game of Thrones and House of Cards are great examples of that.

He's saying by the time he begins to check out what tickles everyone's pickle, they'll be on to the next thing. The popularity of a show isn't always correlative to the quality or "art" behind it. *Honk*

I just personally don't find interest in a show revolving around one of the more boring superheroes that I know of.

Arrow is a great show for what it is, and in that sense it is comparable to Breaking Bad, et al (The Wire is pure crap btw, anyone insisting that that show has any objective "quality" has no idea what "objective" or "quality" mean).
Arrow doesn't even attempt to compete with Game of Thrones for quality of acting, production value, etc. Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad had massive budgets to play with, and a massive budget brings with it the ability to go out and get not just popular actors, but the right actor for each role, the ability to pull off really big setpiece scenes multiple times per season, etc.
Arrow, by contrast, costs a fraction of the money to make, and relies on "geek cred" to keep moving forward. That means bringing in popular but very limited "talent" (I'm looking at you Summer Glau, you no talent skeeze missile), dressing and re-dressing sets in the cheapest ways possible, and so on. Given the limitations, Arrow accomplished a lot.
By contrast, Game of Thrones would be notable more so if it weren't great, than because it is.
If you think of it like a chariot race; the chariot with 4 horses pulling it is much faster than the single horse chariot. That's why they're not in the same race. That doesn't mean that the single horse chariot isn't going fast 8)

I was a fan of Revolution, a big fan, that probably had around the same budget as Arrow. It was just a quality show in my opinion. I've never been a fan of real time superhero television shows, though, so. However, I have to disagree with you on The Wire. I absolutely loved The Wire. It's up there with being one of the best dramas of all time in my opinion. However, my list for dramas isn't that long; I'm yet to sit and watch the Sopranos, Mad Men and a few other shows that seem to be a must watch.

Volume 3 and Volume 4 were both part of Season 3. I started Volume 5 (Season 4) last night and it looks really stupid so far. I think my favorite episode so far was actually, "I Am Sylar." The whole thing with him shapeshifting into his mom and helping Micah and stuff was cool.

I wanted Micah to die the second they introduced him, alongside his mom and dad. Those guys sucked.
How many times did the guy who can phase get mortally wounded by a gunshot? Just phase your body, shove your hand in and pul the bullet out, ya big baby.
The circus stuff sucked and I never finished the series because of it.

His mother was idiotic though. Same with Saunders, so maybe I just don't like the actress.
