ganging up on others is pretty much cyber-bullying unless the gang-up is to defend another forum-goer from him (making him the bully).......it's convoluted but it makes sense.... It's two parties trying to win a pushing contest. I'm not so PC (not much at all, really) that I think everyone has to hold hands and sing together, but my entire point in all of this- beginning last night in the Raw thread, was that it's not just Stewie's comments that are making things a bigger problem than they need to be- it's the reactions from the people that choose to respond to them. The entire thing would dissipate if either party settled down a little bit, and there's room for both parties to do so.

Did I really? Seems likely. I do that a lot when I get mad, or hurt in that incident. you were trying to piss me off, and you succeeded, congratulations. now if anything i say "stings" you, you'll know where it's coming from.. More like I was pissed off and starting targeting you in my anger, and as a result you now hate me.

Holy crap this conversation spun out *gets a diet coke and a folding chair* For the record, THIS is why I just say stuff. Nobody is ever confused about where I stand. I love Mike, but defending losing your virginity at 16? I think he's a fool for that. *shrug* (I pick on Mike because he's the one I'm closest to here, not because the rest of you don't say stupid things). I wouldn't say that it's the right age for everybody, and in all fairness I was two weeks short of 17. Regardless though, I don't regret it at all. I was mature at that age and had already "done the right thing" and turned down sex with a more attractive girl a year prior. My REASON for doing it in this particular instance- that if I keep turning it down I'm never going to get laid- was stupid, but I don't have any regrets about the timing. Why do you feel I should? I don't waste a lot of time with regret (or advising other people to wallow in it), but I do think that it's generally not good to promote sex at such a young age. 8) Really not my point though. My point is simply that the way this conversation has kind of spilled over into people talking about all of the problems they have with one another is, to me, evidence of why I'd rather just say my piece when it's time to do so and make sure people know how I feel about whatever they've just said. I'd rather have you know that I think your position is idiotic than let all a bunch of small things gather up and fester until I feel like I have a personal problem with you.

We reached an understanding a while ago. I'm an asshole and Muta hates me. I think both of us can agree on that point at least.

Also in Arkansas one can legally have sex starting at 14, as long as the other person is 2 or less years older than you. At 16 you are considered of official legal age to have sex.

Yeah, I'm fine staying a virgin until I'm married. I'm not going to take a chance with STDs, and then my morals don't allow it either.

There are plenty of laws out there that allow people to do things that are terrible ideas. I don't support using laws to control behavior, I think individuals should be able to make mature choices without the government's help 8)

New York (where I grew up) has the law of 17 years with a 0 age difference. Meaning that you need to be 17 years or older to have sex, but you can have sex with anybody of age at that time.
