I can see it too... we'll all end up singing Kumbaya in a circle. Right now we're in the "Vent out your frustrations about one another" stage. I'm in the singing stage......
you know how i know you're....

Also in Arkansas one can legally have sex starting at 14, as long as the other person is 2 or less years older than you. At 16 you are considered of official legal age to have sex. There are plenty of laws out there that allow people to do things that are terrible ideas. I don't support using laws to control behavior, I think individuals should be able to make mature choices without the government's help 8) Don't worry, Arkansas has worse laws... Like the one that allows you to beat your wife on the courthouse lawn(Something along the lines of that, but it also has a bunch of specific requirements like the size of the stick you use to beat her). Thankfully nobody does that.

We started this thread to protect against mob mentality.........and here you go attempting it....... No, "we" didn't. I started this thread to discuss the direction of moderation policy on this forum. ... quite frankly, every time I read words like "cyber bullying" and "mob mentality" in this thread, I want to bash my head off of the nearest brick wall, but then I realize I should be bashing someone elses head instead.

Oooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh.................. Well then, Im officially feel awkward by the sex talk, something I'm otherwise very indifferent to. Why, lol? It has been years since then. Because 1. It's sex. It has its awkwardness. 2. These kids in my grade had a baby. If you knew my exact age, you'll understand why that was unsettling. 3. What if you two get married? Then, you could have sex with your wife all you want, especially unprotected, have babies. Then, you'll have more important responsibilities, than be in the forums. I'll lose my forum buddy, once again I'll become the "Black Sheep" and in distress, I'll run away, look for you, say "fuck it" and end up going in the Ayasaca (I even spelled that right), and be faced with severe depression and loneliness, and DIE. Plus, it makes me even more scared to be a teen, or get into a relationship, also, it's unethical to me. Freaking intercourse....

Actually here's the law's specifics...
"a man can beat his wife in Little Rock on the court house lawn provided he does it with a stick no bigger than 3 inches across and not more than once a month."

Nevermind.

I wouldn't say that it's the right age for everybody, and in all fairness I was two weeks short of 17. Regardless though, I don't regret it at all. I was mature at that age and had already "done the right thing" and turned down sex with a more attractive girl a year prior. My REASON for doing it in this particular instance- that if I keep turning it down I'm never going to get laid- was stupid, but I don't have any regrets about the timing. Why do you feel I should? I don't waste a lot of time with regret (or advising other people to wallow in it), but I do think that it's generally not good to promote sex at such a young age. 8) Really not my point though. My point is simply that the way this conversation has kind of spilled over into people talking about all of the problems they have with one another is, to me, evidence of why I'd rather just say my piece when it's time to do so and make sure people know how I feel about whatever they've just said. I'd rather have you know that I think your position is idiotic than let all a bunch of small things gather up and fester until I feel like I have a personal problem with you. I agree with your urge to discuss the position but that's why I sent you a PM about the subject last night, you know from our years on these combined forums that when anyone makes a topic that's essentially "I disagree with that thread being locked so I'm going to make a new one to protest the point" this is exactly what happens, people see an opportunity to air any grievance that may or may not have anything to do with the subject at hand and before long someone's getting agitated and starting a fight. I knew that this entire thing would spiral the second that I said something about it last night, but it still needed to be said. Closing the thread wasn't my way of preventing you from having a voice- you know me better than that. It was about preventing the "putting bugs in a jar and shaking it" phenomenon that rears its ugly head every single time an incident like this takes place. As to the sex, I'm not promoting the idea of starting at a young age (nor do I think anyone should promote such a thing), I'm just being honest about the fact that I don't regret having done so myself, it did me no harm and I don't feel that it was a stupid decision. I was relatively mature, had thought about for a long time, and had already passed on the opportunity at an earlier date because I didn't think that I was ready or that the circumstances were right. As I've said, my partner sucked, the girl was a goon and I'd prefer that someone of higher quality had been the first, but nothing about the situation had a particularly negative impact on my life.

I (apparently) expected more maturity than I should have. I think it's impossible to say what kind of effect it might have had on you. For all we know, it could be the cause of your weird obsession with raising rats as your children.
