I was over Punk months ago, so obviously his leaving was a breath of fresh air to me and his return is unwelcome. I feel the same way. It's like Punk has turned into another Cena.

Exactly without Punk we got refreshing matches and not the same old same old. New stars were being made and now Punk is coming back to mess it all up. have you not been watching. it's been same old same old for years..one good match between Cena and Cesaro isn't changing that..and that was for EC not wrestlemania (i would assume). You obviously haven't been watching anything other than that Cena vs Cesaro match. We've seen more quality matches in this short period of time than we have for years. Superstars have been given the chance to show there talents in large part because of Punk not being there. All of these shows would have had a Punk main event in them that wouldn't have allowed people like Cesaro a chance to shine.

But one thing Cena has on Punk is that I haven't heard of him strong arming the company to get what he wants.

WWE has had great matches for years. The matches haven't been the problem for the past few years... the... well, pretty much everything else has.

I agree that Punk being gone isn't going to fix WWE problems but it does feel good seeing new faces get a shot. Wrestling still isn't first on WWE mind it's telling stories and trying to appear mainstream. WWE need a better creative team because the current one can't even book long term without screwing up.

Cesaro is still a midcarder as is Swagger, as is E, Christian is still....Christian and ziggler is still jerking the curtain (as he should be)...

Yes that is true. But my goodness the man is about to enter into a program with Bray Wyatt. He could be strong arming the company to get out of that hell hole

Whether or not it's a work doesn't matter a lot to me. I don't think it's a good idea to bring him back so soon because, like Knight said, it will be percieved as the WWE manipulating fans.
That being said I can't say I'd be unhappy to see him back. I'm a fan of Punk. But it isn't going to make me watch again. Batista is still in the main event of Wrestlemania, so they can have it.

Well then you're just plain wrong 8) Punk being gone has clearly given other people opportunities to show their stuff. Of course nobody moved up the card overnight, but they have had opportunities that otherwise might not have been there.

I do agree, none of them really made a big impact at the EC PPV

they had a chance to matter and they didn't (with the exception of Shield and Wyatts).

Raven, I'm getting REAL tired of you talking about giving people the chance to shine. Why don't you go and shine? (Jk) In all seriousness, isn't it kinda too soon for Punk to come back? He JUST left. He would be too unpredictable to be trusted. If he really does come back, this falls into the special category of stupid, such as having a literal corpse face Brock Lesnar at WM 30 and bringing back Batista.

ANYWAYS, Reigns, Ambrose, Cesaro, and Bray Wyatt are getting their time to shine, big time. If Punk was still around, one of them would likely be in a dead-end rivalry with him, or he'd take up their TV time trying to be edgy by saying one incredibly inoffensive curse word, which the entire internet would worship him for, and hail him for being the bringer of the nonexistent return of the Attitude Era. Cena likely isn't going to last much longer in the main star spot. He'll be around for a while, but it's obvious WWE has started picking the next big guy. ...Also, I don't get the Curtis Axel hype, sorry. At least you and Wild can agree on something, though.
