Sweet. SN: I just finished watching the finale of Smallville Season 10. I was disappointed with most of Season 10, honestly...the finale was great though. Bane can you send me a link to the rule book you found so i can download it too?

Welp, I might join the game for shits and giggles once I see the character selection. I don't want to take an ultra popular hero, but I do want one that I know something about. I'd want to be able to represent the personality of whoever I might play as. *Honk*

Because this is just a tutorial to teach the game, I'm going with the "movie" version of the characters, since most people will be familiar with the characters and events of the movie (except ati). If I were planning to run a game long-term, I'd allow a bigger variety of characters and implement my House rules (which mostly revolve around changing how Energy Pool and Regeneration are calculated, and limiting Modifiers because they can really unbalance the game.)

Alright. I'll probably hang back during the trial game and keep my eyes on the action. I have a feeling that I'll get an even better picture of things from a distance, as I'm not too concerned on jumping into the game so early. Also, if we decide to join the site that hosts the real game, I might join as a custom character if he (the character) is accepted. I like to really know my characters before I play as them (I don't even watch many of the films). *Honk*

Also, WK, the original thing I downloaded before I downloaded the correct thing, I'm going to post a link here too. I want to know if it's anything you want and/or have seen before, lol.

Yeah, that's the newer "Marvel Heroic" system, which is IMO the best rules for super hero RPing ever created. Unfortunately the line got discontinued after they did the Annihilation book. MUCH better rules than the ones we're using, more balanced and effective at representing what you actually see in comics. The downside is that that system requires dice rolling, which makes it far too slow for play by post purposes most of the time.

Well, at least I have them for reference, lol. I like the variety of CADs they have between all of the pdfs. They even have nobodies, lol.

Is it the same thing as these ones, but with a different story/characters?

If I were to find a way to get a dice roller to be used in posts, would that make things a lot easier for us? I know it's possible, because vbulletin has it.. I'm in the middle of trying to cook one up for us, but can't promise anything.

wildknight I found Dice Rollers for Proboards, so I may not even have to cook something up. How many sides do the dice have to be? Anything special?

The company that made that game also put out a very good Smallville RPG 8) Here (in the rule book) it says that you can crate (and gives advice how to do it.) supeheroes. I just want to ask if we have the right to do this too? (And the answer is probably not, because you said it's going to be based on the avengers movie/the trial is going to be based on the comics.)
