The company that made that game also put out a very good Smallville RPG 8) Here (in the rule book) it says that you can crate (and gives advice how to do it.) supeheroes. I just want to ask if we have the right to do this too? (And the answer is probably not, because you said it's going to be based on the avengers movie/the trial is going to be based on the comics.) No. For the trial we're only using the real people so we can learn how to play quickly. You can only create in certain RPGs too, I believe (if the GM says you can).

I was (well mainly) talking about the full game. I nearly knew that in the trial we can't make our heroes because as you said, it's about learning how to play the game.

I've worked it so that whomever rolls can choose the range of the dice. I would need to make pictures for all numbers that are necessary though, Would the box that says 18 work, or would you prefer the actual dice faces?

The Smallville system is built around the original Cortex system, and Marvel Heroic is built around Cortex Plus (basically the "2nd edition" of the rules set), but they're not all that similar because MWP doesn't just re-package Cortex with new settings... they change the rules so that they work with the setting very closely. Smallville is more based around building a game that will play like the Smallville TV series, where character relationships are more important than "how powerful" a given character might be (for instance, you could have just as much fun playing as Lex as you could playing as Clark). Marvel Heroic is based around the comic books, and you certainly wouldn't want to be a normal human 8)
It's not about (just) having dice rollers... the problem with Heroic is that it involves a lot of back-and-forth that really slows the game down. When I'm done with the tutorial for MURPG, I'll run a Marvel Heroic tutorial session if you guys want, but I'll have to limit it to like 3 or 4 players at most, otherwise it'll bog down and be too slow for anyone to have any fun.

To answer a couple of more posts at once... For the dice roller, I prefer the one that just comes up with the number. Counting pips is totally unnecessary, and most gamers are used to dice with numbers on them rather than pips anyway.
To ati; when I run table top supers games, I sometimes allow original characters and I sometimes run existing characters. It's about 50/50 for me, and depends a lot on which system I'm using. For MURPG, I almost prefer original characters because I don't think the system does a good job of capturing the feel of the actual comic book characters very well. For Marvel Heroic, I definitely prefer to run games with actual comic book characters, because the game does such a great job of providing that "Marvel feel"

Well, I'd be glad to learn the Marvel Heroic version eventually too. I don't mind slow paced games honestly. Unless of course you mean extremely slow....in which case, I won't be able to tell until the time comes, lol. Also, out of the two, you talked about above, although I liked them both, Smallville's version sounds a lot better, lol. Mostly because I could be any character I want, and still be good.

I was very impressed with the way they did the Smallville RPG. Before you play a game, the players and GM sit down together and create all of their characters together following a progression chart that takes your character from childhood to their "defining event" (a good example would be when Batman's parents were killed, that life changing moment that takes a person out of the ordinary and into the extraordinary). Throughout the process, the relationships between the various characters is a primary focus, and you're actually "more powerful" when interacting with characters with whom you have stronger relationships. Lex, for example, has a very strong connection to Clark in the early seasons, so if he's doing something to help Clark, he's a lot more effective than if he's doing something to help, say, Chloe, who he doesn't care all that much about.

Just to let you guys know, that 7755 isn't a glitch. I put over 1000 just for fun, even though we'll never use that many (if we use it at all).

Anyways....
So, now we're just waiting for people to choose characters and then we start?

After that i wanted to make an original hero (when i think about things like this i decide everything the character is about: backstory, superpowers, personality. The only thing i didn't decide (other than making the character at first. Because i need your contribution to make him.) is his name so you can see how i make a character.)

Yeah, Iron Bat would definitely not be happening. I absolutely loathe universe crossover stuff.

Who we can choose from? (I mean we can choose any superhero from the rule book?) Look in the CADs section. Hulk and Iron Man are already taken.

I wanted to make him because he looks cool anyways... other than that he's just batman in mark IV (or what mark Iron Man uses a the time.)
