Oh okay, I was starting to wonder if there was a secret site that I wasn't aware of for a moment. Welp, I might join the game for shits and giggles once I see the character selection. I don't want to take an ultra popular hero, but I do want one that I know something about. I'd want to be able to represent the personality of whoever I might play as. *Honk* The characters are all up in the CAD selection. Because this is just a tutorial to teach the game, I'm going with the "movie" version of the characters, since most people will be familiar with the characters and events of the movie (except ati). If I were planning to run a game long-term, I'd allow a bigger variety of characters and implement my House rules (which mostly revolve around changing how Energy Pool and Regeneration are calculated, and limiting Modifiers because they can really unbalance the game.) So there isn't going to be any other characters posted for this? Also, what's the difference between Marvel Heroic, whatever we're playing and the Smallville RPG?

Different rules 8) The characters that are up are the ones that we're using, unless we end up somehow needing more. I'm trying to stick to the Avengers team from the movie, even though I think it was an awful team 8)

Aww damn. I was hoping that there would be X-Men characters. In that case, I choose yours godly (crappy joke/pun), Thor.
If we end up needing more teams and you add the X-Men, I call... Nightcrawler or Archangel.

Also i like him more than Spodomon and Venom combined (Maybe because hes Symbiote (correct me if i wrote it wrong) is red and black (my favorite colors) or because hes crazy i don't know neither.).

But... but.. . he's a psychopath. There is no such thing as a "psychopath for good!" It just doesn't exist. Carnage's primary purpose in existence is murder. A defining characteristic of heroes is that they seek every other option before killing, and the really good ones never ever kill at all.

I'll admit I'm not 100% sure, but didn't Green Arrow kill purposely at first (only the bad guys though)?

He would be the one they dropped out because he killed all the villains. (Well maybe not Galactus but you know what i mean.) And there's no superhero who is like that one i will like more than the others (Fallen into the deep abyss of depression. He decided to become a superhero. Because if he can't be happy he wants to make others happy. And well... save lives.) when Marvel/DC will make a hero like this (and make him into cool suit) i will give that brand more credits (well... probably).

Carnage wouldn't work as a Hero, dude. He's evil, and that's what's great about him...

I'll admit I'm not 100% sure, but didn't Green Arrow kill purposely at first (only the bad guys though)? Heroes that killed weren't completely unheard of in the so-called "Silver Age" up until the birth of the Comics Code Authority (which was a ridiculous interlude in comic publishing history), but I'm a child of the post-Crisis On Infinite Earths 80s. In the comics I grew up reading, real heroes never killed, which was actually really good because it made the guys that would, like Wolverine (who still only killed very reluctantly) stand out and create an exciting contrast that drove good stories. From a writer's perspective, killing in comics is stupid. Even for villains, killing is SUCH a bad idea, because it leads to a milieu where death becomes meaningless, and writers are continually having to either forgo using beloved, interesting characters (because they are dead), or come up with increasingly cheesy ways of bringing people back from the dead. Inventing new characters all the time in a medium that is 12 issues a year across dozens of titles is simply not a reasonable proposal. Imagine where the X-Men would be right now if the X-Men had done the "reasonable" thing and killed Magneto when they should have... or, if, conversely, Magneto had succeeded at killing off entire teams, etc. (There's also a string of logic about how, if villains were mass murderers, the whole world would be screaming for their executions, but for some reason that never seems to happen)
