Do you have something against Jackie Chan, or were you just looking for another reason to post something related to superheroes? Jackie Chan used to be fantastic, some of his fight scenes were highly entertaining. Just remember, you brought it up this time, lol. Where have you been lately?

You underscored Jackie Chan and responded with a gif of Loki looking on in disbelief. Feel free to explain because I guess I missed it.

Do you have something against Jackie Chan, or were you just looking for another reason to post something related to superheroes? Uh, neither? Children, Children! Soon was pointing out to the other guy that Jackie Chan IS in Rush Hour- making it essentially somewhat a Kunfu movie Do you have something against Jackie Chan, or were you just looking for another reason to post something related to superheroes? I brought up the comic reference with a picture from a superhero movie? Your timing is an interesting coincidence. I've been spending a lot less time here because the last few times that I popped in, it was all about the superhero shit. I've been getting really burned out on it.

Anyway I think you missed what J was saying, which is that he likes Jackie Chan, but not in stuff like Rush Hour (to which I myself would agree).

I've been spending a lot less time here because the last few times that I popped in, it was all about the superhero shit. I've been getting really burned out on it. Actually your timing is pretty coincidental as well. Lately there's been far less talk about superhero movies outside of the comic discussion thread. In fact the Movies thread hasn't seen talk of comic movies in quite a while, except for my mention of Godzilla beating Winter Soldier's opening day at the box office. Also I used that Loki picture purely because it most accurately displayed most reaction to Joey's post out of all of the other shifty eye gifs that I searched.

I give it maybe five pages before someone mentions something from a superhero movie, or book, or tv show, or video game, or RPG, or pajamas, or something.

Rush Hour has enough martial arts to quality as a martial arts movie, IMO. It's far from my favorite, but it is more or less in that genre.

Also I used that Loki picture purely because it most accurately displayed most reaction to Joey's post out of all of the other shifty eye gifs that I searched. I'm sure it did, there aren't a lot of mocking "disbelief" gifs out there. And it IS nice that my former movie thread hasn't been about superheroes for a while (though I don't know why you singled it out, I wasn't even referring to it. It's far from the only place to spot comic talk on this forum). I had anticipated that it would probably be about Godzilla for the last few days because I knew how much you wanted to see it and how much Knight hated the idea of its existence. That said, I don't think you realize that I quit the stupid thread because it happened to revolve around superheroes at that particular time. I abandoned it because it went back to superheroes over and over and over and over and over and over and over yet again, and that it would continue to do so as long as it exists, as long as this is a forum is populated by superhero fans, and as long as two or three studios pump out nothing but superhero movies every couple of minutes. I figured that I'd have to bail on the thread by summer anyway, so why not just let it go when it stops becoming fun. Regardless, this is a whole separate tangent and I don't want to add to the problem by having yet another thread contort into superhero talk, so I'd rather just drop it and go back to king fu movies. I was only responding to your gif and providing an honest answer to Bane's question.

On topic, Rush Hour was completely forgettable. Very little stood out about it, it existed primarily as mismatched buddy comedy and an excuse for Chris Tucker to speak loudly and extensively.

I was watching kill bill vol 1 the other day. The fight at the house of blue leaves was awesome. Gory but very fun sword fight.

I thought that it was entertaining enough. I'm not really a big fan of crazy theatrics, defying physics and abundant wire-fu, but I recall thinking that it was a reasonably good time (and fit the film that it was in).
