I'm going with a PS4 over the Xbone simply because it has more exclusives, otherwise they're identical. The exclusives are all terribly disappointing.

There's no harm in admitting the 360 did several things better last gen (and maybe they will at some point this gen) than Sony and the PS3 did. Then there's fanboys like Soon who are so quick to throw Microsoft under the bus, they just here the term "water cooler conversation" and immediately spin that into an insult without knowing the application of the term. I agree, but I still strongly dislike the term "fanboy" as applied to the consoles. I buy the console that suits my needs best, not the one from the company I'm in love with. Because I didn't jump on the "Microsoft is evil!" bandwagon and stopped caring about their stupid DRM measures the second Microsoft got rid of them, that apparently makes me a "fanboy." ... personally I'm more concerned with the mindset of the person who DOES still care about an announced feature even after it's been removed, as if just having considered it automatically makes someone untrustworthy. True I remember Mike and Cyber saying things along the lines of "they violated my rights as a consumer" and just rolling my eyes. Part of me knew Microsoft would eventually realize they made a mistake But tge number of people who felt like Microsoft raped their trust by the mere suggestion of DRM and making the company look like tge devil was ridiculous

I'm going with a PS4 over the Xbone simply because it has more exclusives, otherwise they're identical. Right, which is a totally reasonable way to go about it. I would have bought a PS4, except for the fact that my kids wanted the One and since I was going to buy a camera for the PS4 anyway, the price would have been fairly similar. I'm actually kind of bummed, I was looking forward to playing some of those Sony exclusives

All big corporations are devious bastards, anyhow. There's no sense in bitching about one's treachery.

I'm going with a PS4 over the Xbone simply because it has more exclusives, otherwise they're identical. Exactly why ive always went with Sony. Because in the end sacrificing better looking third party games and getting COD maps earlier for the opportunity to play series like Uncharted or Infamous has always been worth it.

All big corporations are devious bastards, anyhow. There's no sense in bitching about one's treachery. ... there's really nothing "devious" or "treacherous" about having ways in place to protect one's intellectual property rights, particularly if you tell the consumer up front what you're doing. For some reason, gamers have a RIDICULOUS notion that they're entitled to be able to steal games, and even the ones that don't want to steal them, feel that anything that stops others from stealing them is some kind of crime against their sovereign rights.

The exclusives are all terribly disappointing. All of the next-gen games are terribly disappointing. Well that or the promo sing ones keep getting delayed. And although I feel like Rockstar definitely made there money back I feel like not doing something with GTA next gen was a bit of a missed opportunity.

I think they made the right decision, not porting GTA V. The number of people who will own a next gen console and NOT own one from the previous generation is extremely small, so they're not keeping anyone from playing GTA V... and they're much better off just focusing on making another amazing game for the next gen

The ones that were initially announced were fairly intrusive, it's not like they only affected people who would want to steal games. All of that "registering" your game and not being able to trade/transfer games without buying extra codes and crap? That's pretty messed up.

I assume there's a dig against Steam somewhere in there. For the record, Steam does let you play offline, and they're implementing the ability to borrow friends' games.

Other than that it probably wasn't worth it. I'd consider buying GTA V but I'm outve luck since A. The PS3 digital versions cheaper but I've heard rubs actually inferior to the disc. B. I haven't seen (although I haven't looked to hard) any places where the disc used or new is Under $50
