It's pretty standard. For example my contract: Accordingly should you resign your employment, for any reason, or is ____ terminates you "for Cause" within twenty-four months of the date you first began working for ____ etc etc. For cause shall be defined as (a) failure to perform your duties that causes or likely to cause material harm to the company or material inteference with its operations; (b) dishonesty, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or intentional, or neglect of your duties. In each case having an adverse effect upon the corporation. Which if I made references that Phil made and it was seen as an adverse effect upon my corporation I'd be fired. So if one is asked a question pertaining to the way they believe, they have to lie if it goes against what the talk show host believes? Cause you know, Phil was kinda asked a question about it, and he answered it accordingly. Not at all. Easily could have stated I'm a christian that believes Homosexuality is a sin. I believe this because it's in the Bible. And then move on.

Because it takes little to no intellect to understand. Explain Pink That was in regard to the public's obsession of reality TV, pop culture icons and the death of twinkies. In regards to whatever the heck you people are talking about, this Phil fellow was more than likely baited into anti-gay comments to get the media in a frenzy so they wouldn't pay any mind to Obama signing some horrendous act that will no doubt shake the very grounds this country was built on. Possibly forcing McSponges to be a mandatory companion of breakfast lunch and dinner. I'll have to look into this. No doubt something wrong is amiss.

He could just as easily say "no comment" or what he said toward the end of his interview and say it's not his place to judge.

First off it's called reality TV when it's fake why not call it drama tv or soap opera with people you would hate. SN Spongebob and Patrick are dying on my TV I'm kinda happy.

"“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him." ... yes, I know the verse. Again, you're misusing it. You've clearly ignored a fairly important clause. "Do not be like the hypocrites." ... and later "they have received their reward in full." He's not giving a blanket instruction to only ever pray in private, he's issuing a warning against using prayer as a public display in order to curry favor in society. There's a phrase in scholarship for what you've done. "Text without context is pretext for a proof text."

1. What is your reason to believe they say wrote that without really meaning it do you have any evidence that I haven't seen? ... again, every other document that they produced, and their own behavior. In fact, Thomas Payne proposed a secular government in as many words, and was rebuffed by Ben Franklin for it. ... no, it's not LOL Religion is a set of beliefs about the cause and purpose of existence. Neither worship nor a traditional understanding of "god" is required. Belief is the key. The agnostic and the atheist are both taking a great number of things on faith.

Does anyone else care about Seto's commentary about a mentally challenged sponge?
No? Okay.

... except that they knew who he was and what he believed when they hired him. They've been perfectly happy to have a top rated show and make money hand over fist off of the man's loving family and belief system until now. It's awfully hard to plead "injured party" when you've been supportive of a behavior for years. Oh I agree but he also signed the contract. Don't start calling for protection when you signed the contract. But you have no evidence that the contract specifies that he cannot speak on his beliefs. In point of fact, given how often they do it on the show, I sincerely doubt that it does. One of two things must be true; either the contract is very specific, in which case A&E would have repeatedly allowed him to violate it in the past (which, btw, voids such a contract...), or the contract is vaguely worded, in which case it probably wouldn't hold up under legal scrutiny, and in which case the man can hardly be held responsible for not somehow knowing exactly where the line was when it was never clearly drawn in the first place.

Now again I think it's silly because I don't believe what he says offends the audience that watches Duck Dynasty. However to silence the rage in people they went with suspension. Because A&E still wants that money, instead of firing him. However I think enough people will be in a tisy and they'll bring him back before hand making sure to have a huge deal about the whole thing. Thus making ratings stronger and the reality television fad to live on. Effectively manipulating the sheeple that are americans for profit.
